Fall kicks into high gear

Sep 20, 2011 16:08

Except for the weather, which is hot and muggy and miserable - so much so that my weather-related migraines are on the upswing (my meds make me groggy) - fall is on the horizon, between college football and Halloween decorations popping up in stores, and the tv season. Last weekend I went with The Spousal Unit to the Gator's second home game, and ( Read more... )

hawaii five-0, the vampire diaries, haven, fall tv, weather, doctor who, the secret circle

Finally got a bit of rain here last night. Think it just made it more muggy though. But I will take any kind of percipitaion I get.
Was channel surfing last night and caught the emmys just as they were giving out the best supporting actress award. Almost bypassed it until they showed Margo Martindale in a clip from Justified. I didn't even know her name but I did the big squeal when she won as well. She was so good in that role.
Have only seen the new Castle but have Hawaii 5-0 recorded and will watch that soon.
Talk with you soon.

Yeah, we're getting the oppressive heat and no rain. *hates*

BTW, I sent you the link to The Futon Critic. I hope it helps keep you on track. If it does, bookmark it! ;)

Can't get enough of the love-hate partnership of Damon and Alaric

Best part of the show. Trufax. I almost lost it when I thought maybe Alaric hadn't survived the end of last season (after Klaus left his body).

And yeah, Elena is a lot more tolerable than Lana! But then again, that's not hard. Heh.

Yeah, I'd be majorly p-o'd if they got rid of Alaric. Must Not Happen!

BTW, loves your icon! It's funny because it's true. Howl!!!!

While I'm all "huh?" with Rachel now knowing who the real daddy is, I'm willing to handwave it as long as we get Danno & his daughter time ...I just don't know what the hell they were thinking anyway. It's like they wanted to get rid of the Rachel-Grace factor from tying down Danny. Which, fine, I can see reasons for that - but why not just have Stan take a job out of Hawaii and Rachel and Grace go with him, as they would normally do? What was the point of throwing Danny and Rachel back together for a half an episode just to get her knocked up ( ... )

So need Haven to get picked up for a third season! Concerned that the Showcase channel in Canada which co finances it, isn't sure if they want to continue with it or not.

As to Doctor Who:

First of all, I'm not really sure what they were trying to say about faith, but I'm thinking it wasn't good. But what I'm really confused about is Amy/Rory's seeming departure from the series. Surely they can't be gone for good until the astronaut/Doctor's death story line is fully wrapped up. Can they? Otherwise, I assume they should have to come back at least once to conclude that plot. Can anyone clue me in for sure?Rory and Amy will be back. I am guessing for the season finale, though I don't know for sure, but they will for sure be back for the Christmas special, because both actors were seen filming ( ... )

Oh, man, is that the problem - it's not Syfy? Okay, now I'm even more nervous. *biting fingernails*

Wonder if that's in the current timeline, or a stand-alone?

I would have thought that Rory would be the one who would have blind faith, but his "door" was an exit. And no room ever appeared for him.Yeah, I thought his "faith" would have been in Amy. But I think we're supposed to see that he's possibly the most practical of the whole bunch of them. He believes in what he can see, what he's doing in the moment. Interesting turn of events ( ... )
