To do today: Dreamwidth account up and running

When I finally got my DW code - typed-up hard copy because DW was still trying to hammer out things with earthlink on Friday (which I assume has been resolved since my email address was confirmed okay?) - I squatted my name (same as here), and that's it. Haven't had a minute to do anything else with it, but I hope to fix it this afternoon - while ( Read more... )

Gosh, I could have sworn I read somewhere this morning that there are another two (new) shows NBC has announced as adding to the sked. I remember reading it, because my first thought was, where?? Will they begin airing original programming after midnight come fall?

I must assume that they are, which makes it doubly confusing why they are renewing all these marginal performers. Like you said, when the hell is all this stuff supposed to air - after midnight, Saturday nights, what?

Original, scripted material on a Saturday night? They'd rather eat glass, I'm sure. ;)

I think NBC is realizing that it's nearly impossible for them, or any of the broadcast networks, to launch new series and get huge ratings, so they're going with the shows that at least have audiences, small as they may be. That way they can spend money on promoting a smaller number of new series, in the hopes that the network will be able to build audiences over the course of the season.

That was my thought too - and my hope. But I just posted an update with a link I found a couple hours ago at TVGuide Online which indicates the decision on Chuck will be delayed after all, until NBC goes through whatever Pilots they do have. Oy. Now I have to fret. *sigh*

You would think by now that the old four networks would have to realize it's the 21st century and the medium just doesn't work the way it used to. Talk about dragging feet.

Beautiful icon, BTW! :)
