RIP Veronica and friends

My icon looks happier than I feel because I haven't done that massive purge and then binge of my icon closet that I've wanted to do for a long time. I figure I'll get that done over the summer hiatus. Everything Must Go!, to make room for the New-New-New! But until then, this is the best I got ( Read more... )

So far none of my faves has been cancelled, so I'm pretty pleased with the fall schedule. Thank God.

You're one lucky little duck! Actually, I'm pretty happy too. So far this is my one real disappointment.

u're one lucky little duck!

I really am! Usually I lose a couple of shows. I don't know what happened, but this year I actually liked things that did well in the ratings. What a freaking novelty!

I really fear that S3 will end on a cliffhanger. When really, I think they've known about the cancellation for a while - ever since E! Online first broke it and then was forced to play damage control.

But some finality would have been nice.

When really, I think they've known about the cancellation for a while ...

I'm not convinced who knew what definitively, though. I think most of the supporting cast knew, or suspected, that they probably wouldn't be back one way or the other. I do think Dawn continued to dangle a mythical carrot in front of Rob and Kristin as a stall tactic, at the very least, and that's why we're now in the pickle of having a cliff-hanger and dealing with damage control and certain pissed-off media types.

I think everyone is always universally happier in the long-run with something, anything resembling closure. A cliff-hanger is always the worst way to go out. I hate to hear that's what we've probably got in store for us.

Though, you know, judging by the way Tuesday's episode played out, I got the feeling that maybe, just maybe, he'd written a finale that could possibly serve as a series finale. It seemed like they could be setting it up that way. I guess not, though.

Yeah, it's really going to suck if it truly does end on a cliff-hanger when cancellation has been a possibility for this show for so long. Given this show's history I think it would have been smarter to always intend the season finale to have some type of closure, but it really does seem like there was a lot of false reassurance handed around behind the scenes... :/

Unless Rob Thomas is the most delusional man in Hollywood, it really does sound like he was constantly fed a diet of false assurances for too long - the goodly amount of time it could have taken him to instead wrap the season up as a series finale. What was the point? *sigh*

I am down to Thurs night. I will definitely miss GG. After all these years not to hear that familiar theme come on. I am bummed. I don't even want to check out any of their new shows. I will just have a bit more time on my hands. I will have to hear massive SQUEE from my flist to even check anything on their schedule next fall.

As far as CW goes? Unless the two I mentioned wow me, yeah, I know what you mean. And even then, after reading the reactions to the SV finale, which I haven't watched and now have no desire to, it's only for SPN that I'll be turning on CW even then.

My SV watching has been spotty. I will need massive doses of Green Arrow to come back.
