Rattus Norvegicus

Sep 10, 2011 02:06

Good day!

I need to get some pictures of some rats. Anybody know where I might encounter Rattus Rattus and/or Rattus Norvegicus? I'm hoping for clean ones, not *ahem* wild ones, but they need to be natural looking, not white like lab rats. (Yes, I'm clearly a rat racist! lulz)

Any point in the right direction would be most appreciated.

I can send you some pictures (I have a ton). However, your best bet would be getting in contact with the Huron Valley Rat Rescue. It's located in Ypsi (However, I know she is in the process of moving and closing the rescue) but she may still have some Ratties for you to photograph.

Here's the link to the facebook page:

Currently, I only have two ladies (a hairless dumbo- Alice and a dumbo tan & white furred- Diva) that I'm sure would do fine w/having their pictures taken. The only problem is I'm a full-time student at EMU and I don't really have much free time. >.<

Funnily enough, I have already talked to Kaia. She tends to have cute rats, very cute rats. I'm really looking for for a plague rat.

Thanks for the suggestion! :-]

FYI, typically the genus is capitalized but not the species:
  • Rattus rattus
  • Rattus norvegicus
(I mention this because you are a writer--I thought you might find it useful.)
