Heh! Pleased to have inspired you, but... maybe it's time to ask you about your moniker. This is what the New York Times says about holiday shopping:History suggests that holiday shopping fills an ancient need to gather and tithe, and serves as a modern-day ritual of renewal.

Throughout history, societies have arranged for people to congregate and engage in shared activities. The ancient world had a full schedule of feast days and rituals. In Greece, for example, the annual Thesmophoria brought together the town’s adult women to act out their hope that the coming year would be a fertile one.
So, ummm... ready to share?

It is a double entendre: Thesmorphoros is a title of Demeter, and means roughly, "she who makes the law", hence the Thesmorphia as a harvest festival.

However, one of our family sayings, when one of the kids turns their nose up at what is being served for dinner is "well, there's more for us!".

Ha! I used to walk past this Ceres on my way to work; she tops the Chicago Board of Trade, where all the grain trades were made. I miss her. I'll admit she looks better from the ground up than nose-to-nose, as it were. It's been about 20 years since she was part of my commute, but I really do still miss her.

Very hilarious. :) The circumstances that shake the waist are according to each one's tastes. ;)

I am just smitten with "shaking the waist" as a polite way to refer to bone-rattling copulatory exercise.
