I Cannot Do It

Five minutes of the Republican debate this Saturday night in New Hampshire, and I'm flipping to watching the ending credits of Men in Black for the forty-third time.

I cannot do it. I cannot watch George Stephanopolous let them get away with towering lies, and with not answering the goddamned questions

I am less tolerant of listening to Republicans yammer on than I have ever been - I attribute my sea change to shuffling off Ex Husband. And I can't think of a single Repub. out there I'd cast a ballot for - I'd sooner vote for Sauron than Rick Perry, for instance.

I've been cooking up a Kentucky Burgoo for these folks, as they've never had one, and watching the Saints-Lions game. It raises my blood pressure a lot less.

I met Fred Thompson at Howard Baker Jr.s Fourth of July barbeque one year and he seemed like a nice guy. He is also very, very tall. But this is all I really know about the man.

Just breathe, Ankh. The conservative ticket looks bleak as hell right now. I just wish things would get really interesting and that a Dem would pop up to challenge Obama. Right now it looks like a cake walk for him.

Oh, man, I still remember back in 2008 when my husband and I made it about five minutes into the Republican National Convention before throwing in the towel after the world's most offensive 9/11 video.
