Memorial Day

Yesterday was Memorial Day here in the U.S., but today is special, too. On Wednesday, six days back, I called Bethania Cemetery outside of Chicago and ordered grave decorations for my gramma, her mom, and her son, my Uncle Danny, who died in WW II and whom I never got to meet. Wow. Your writing really brings his life story, well, I was going to say "to life", thought about it twice, and then realized that that, is exactly it. I'm sure that both Ace's vet and the cemetery lady find satisfaction in the compassion and rememberance aspects of their professions, which are more than just professions. Some "professions", as difficult as they may seem, I think are bless'd by the opportunity to actually celebrate the intangible and on=going life that remains. So you shouldn't be lonesome luv, you have an amazing family and canine history which will ever be alive.
