Oh, dear.

Yeah, still sick here. I was sure I was over it Sunday, but then Monday was just as bad as the days before. I think decapitation is a reasonable cure ( Read more... )

Aw, sweetie. Sorry to hear your house is so miserable. And messy. Not that I personally care if your house is messy, but only insofar as its bothering you.

Thanks for the moral support.

I'm only useful for two or three hours a day, and I tend to waste those at the 'puter. Not waste, but you know what I mean.

Physically, the trotting back-and-forth of cleaning is what does me in, because of the bad foot. But I have high hopes for 2008.

I know what you mean. I have a hip that is out of alignment, and I realized the other week that I was in so much pain because our house is so cramped that when I move around the house quickly, I end up doing a sort of snakelike shimmy around corners and furniture. So when I'm on a cleaning spree, I end up trashing my hip.

Exactly! And while a snakelike shimmy may be attractive, the consequences for you must be pretty painful.

A bad hip burns like fire, doesn't it. :(

Hope you and Savant get feeling better! I would like to see you both at the furmeets. Thanks again for letting me park "TANFUR" there ( ... )

Do you identify with ravens, or crows, or ? Never asked you which blackfeathers hold the appeal.

The only fanfic I've ever written was in MZB's universe. I submitted it for one of the fan Darkover anthologies, and got back a letter saying they weren't doing those any more because, by sickening coincidence, she'd gotten three-quarters through writing a novel and then fanfic came in which duplicated the events in the novel.

Seemed like a lousy excuse to me; they could have worked something out with the fan writer. But that was as she was getting ill, and I think they were just tired of dealing with that.

Anyway, that's off-topic from your reminiscences! They sound pretty fond; must have been a good time in your life.

As to the parking, our pleasure, and thanks for offering to let me drive it. I didn't, but that's another story. :) Hope to see you soon... Savant will start having a life again in February, he tells me. It's silly that you're so nearby, but we don't see you. :(
