Ficlet - Rodney Character Piece

This idea nearly wrote itself in my head tonight. Course, everytime I tried to set it down in words, I got interrupted. Still, I started this livejournal to put ideas down when I am not sure what else to do with it.

So this is basically my take on why
( Rodney McKay doesn't believe in God. )

I like the reasoning here a great deal. Good job!

Sadly, back in the day, I knew this guy. Last I saw him, his church had 'cured' him. I'm not sure I would have the heart to find out what that did to the rest of his life or the people around him. When I knew him, the strain of the 'cure' had brought him to cutting, and, well ... I doubt it got much better. :-(

Thanks. I've never met anyone (that I know of) who went through 'deprogramming' of this sort, but that sort of repression seems reprehensible and so far against any concept of love that I can't fathom it.

This just floated into my head as I was working yesterday and I had to get it out because it doesn't fit with the other things I'm working on. I didn't want it to muddy the other two Rodney stories.

LOL! It just *fits* so well... For every Daniel or Carson out there, there are a bunch of Kavanaughs, Kolyas and Kinseys (I'm sensing a pattern here.) Even Rodney would be difficult to date, you'd wanna smack him upside the head constantly.
