My digital piano (Roland Ep77) arrived yesterday

Well packaged and and all in good order. There are 2 'strung' pianos, both of which sound good : one is slightly 'boxier' than the other - it must be an upright while the other is a grand. Only one electric piano, which sounds quite Rhodes-y below middle-C, but as you get higher it sounds more and more like a Wurlitzer. No too bad, I suppose. There

Of course you're right... the art of really winging it in jazz is to play a false note, chord or run, and to look so pleased with yourself that everybody not only thinks it was on purpose, but thinks it was brilliant and daring also.

I prefer not to rely on such brass-neck bravado. I have to get a little nervous if I'm to play well, and my way of doing both is putting in some preparation.
