I really liked the introspection into Minami's captainship and how he captains. It's true, from what we've seen in canon, he doesn't seem much like a leader. Certainly not as respected as Tezuka and Yukimura and not as charismatic as Atobe. But I like that you try to qualify the differences between him and them.
He is silent, hands still shoved in his pockets, staring out over the ocean, the evening air whipping his hair around his face, and Minami understands that expression, understands that by reassuring him, Higashikata has also reassured himself.
Awwww. I also like that how you stress the equality between them, the equal give-and-take. Nice.

Ordinary by brainbreaker. It's very short, sadly, but pretty much the only Jimmies fic I found that I liked until anjenue wrote hers. It's a shame they're so not-written. Muromachi might be written more than they, I think, and he never even got to play tennis in canon.

I'm so glad this turned out not only readable but also enjoyable. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to write, mostly because we get so little on Yamabuki at all, never mind these two, but it was also one of the most fun, for that exact same reason.
