1. My head feels like it's going to fall off. It must have gotten heavier from all the crap I've been cramming into it all week. Or maybe that's because I stayed up until 5 in the morning ( Read more... )

4. fills me with some sort of gleeishness glee. :)

Aristotle is okay to love. I love a lot of philosophers. Actually, I fondly recall quoting Aristotle in my paper on marriage in Ancient Greece and Rome. *loves the philosophers.*

XD I thought maybe you might like that. It's up to, like, 9000 words now, or something. *flops over* And STILL NO FUJI. Go figure.

I love the philosophers too, but most people I talk to seem to have this thing where Aristotle is, like, the devil or something. I can understand that his work is hard to decipher, but it's SO COOL.

I need a Kirihara icon. *pets yours*

Snarky, shameless muses are absolutely the most fun. I think it's why my favourites to write are Niou from PoT, Gojyo from Saiyuki and Mugen from Samurai Champloo. *dork*

Oh NIOU. He's definitely awesome. Though to be honest, I think I prefer Yagyuu. As much as I adore the snarky, there's something about the coldly vicious that gets under my skin even more. Or maybe I'm just not playful enough to write a convincing Niou.

That I can write Yagyuu, though... o.O

Oh, I do love both of them a great deal. Yagyuu has this beautifully subversive streak hiding in there which makes him a lot of fun to me as well (and people seem to compliment me on my writing of Yagyuu more often so I guess I'm doing something right there - but the things Niou is prepared to just say and the way I imagine him thinking make him more fun for me to write). And this is my second favourite type of character. *laughs* See: Yagyuu, Hakkai (Saiyuki), Jin (Samurai Champloo). It's probably not coincidental that most of my very favourite pairings seem to involve an outwardly polite but rather vicious character and a snarky, shameless, rough sort of character. Heh.

Hahaha yes ma'am! Is that going to be your birthday present then? XD

*snerk* You know, they're a lot of work, but they're also a lot of fun. Though the Bible is starting to wear on me. Too much begetting for my liking.

Jung is all about sex? *Eyes sproing open*

LOL! Well Jung is actually...okay. Freud's theories relate everything back to sex, yes? It's called the Eros theory. And Adler relates everything back to desire for control, etc, which is called the will to power theory. Jung thinks that everything involves both, and that some people just respond more to one than the other. Those who respond more to the eros theory are what he calls the extraverts, the ones whose focus is the object (i.e. the object of their affection), and those who respond to will to power are introverts, those focussed on the subject (i.e. self). But a balance is needed in order to be healthy. So there's a lot about both sex and control, which means D/s comes up a lot in class. XD It's kind of awesome.

*cough* It's usually me to bring it up, of course, but you know.

Interesting. I thought that Jung was primarily about archetypes and the symbolic landscape of the subconsciousness, but of course there's all kinds of different aspects to explore. But my main introduction to Jung came through the, um, back door, so to speak --- Joseph Campbell. And, if there's anyway to get the subject of sex brought up in class which does not involve rats or statistics, I'm all for it!
