I'm glad to hear that you're back and better. And it really is amazing how inspiring the arts can have on you when things aren't doing so well in other parts of your life. Sounds like you had a lot done!
I'd love to see more of your glass work whenever you get a chance to photograph stuff. Like stained glass... I love the look of that stuff... And you mentioned fish bowls??? I first thought, I bowl with fish on it, or shaped like a fish and then it dawned on me... Maybe she literally meant fish bowl! Like the bowls you keep pet fish in! haha!
Yup - I meant an actual bowl for fish. One of the glassblowers at my mom's place made the fish bowls and then gave me the job of decorating them. I learned a really cool new etching technique that I used to sandblast some funky looking seaweed around the outside. Plus - I got to keep one. I can't wait to go get a fish to go in it!
Hopefully I will have a whole pile of pictures by Monday. Thanks for the encouragement. Having busy hands always cheers me up, I think that's why I took to knitting so obsessively... :)
Hey! I was looking around on etsy wondering if I could find myself a shawl pin... Then I saw this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6807299 and thought maybe you would be able to make something like that but with your own design in mind?? I'd totally pay you for it if you could ballpark me a quote! :) Would you be interested?
I would be totally interested but I can't do it. The mosaic bit is easy but I can't do the metalwork bit. Wish I could though...that's a darn cool shawl pin. :) Thanks for thinking of me.
