On the contrary to the writing. I kinda disagree to some views expressed. For example, I have seen people who appear to be very rude to their parents/friends, at least that's how they sound but actually people do like to do this. Its like taking your relationship to the next level ;)
It might sound weird but lets face it, humans thrive on change and more often they complain but involuntarily the change is more welcome. One actually loves the change. It is even more amazing that some relationships thrive on appearing good in front of others for obvious reasons but deep within you don't want to be doing that.
All in all, indulge in some words, letting off some steam otherwise you know what happened with Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii !!!

i can totally understand the fact that it's only with parents and close family that you can totally relax and be yourself, but everyone has feelings right?

Going from TV to reality, I have a friend in my office, we share a lot of things and he knows it and so do i. But, when it comes to work and other things which we feel really dear about, we literally fight tooth and nail with some harsh words right in front of the whole team/managers and happens in the heat of the moment ;) at times, we do it just for kicks and do it all the more if more people are looking at us ;) but, in the end, we make sure that we don't upset the other person too much.
More often, we have apologized as well ;)
I think, behavioral sciences needs to be upgraded with this new kind of affection ;)
Wonder if you really agree with me or not.

And your post is so true...familiarity does breed contempt, very often, and we should remain polite to our dear ones...
