Hey guys!

I'm back!!

I hope you all had a great weekend^^

Fukui was....AWESOME XDD

I love Eito so much ;____;

The trip in general went really smoothly. It flew by too! Everything was easy to find, the night bus stops, the hotel, the temple, etc...

When I got to Shinjuku on Thursday night the first thing I noticed was:

I took it as a good sign XD And in fact the bus stop wasn't far from there so it's like Subaru and Ohkura were pointing the way! lol
The trip there was good too. I don't usually sleep well on night buses but this time there was no one next to me so I was able spread out a little and get comfortable which in turn allowed me to sleep quite well. I was still a little tired when I got to Fukui, but not exhausted, and I made it through the day with plenty of energy. On Friday I headed straight to Eiheiji Temple and spent a good four hours there. It's up in the mountains and I had to take a special train to get there.

The scenery was breathtaking.

The temple was huge so there was a lot to see and I took my time. It was a nice little retreat. Afterwards, I was starving so I went to a quaint little restaurant and asked for whatever was famous in the area. I ended up with oroshii soba (I think that's what it's called? >_>). I'm not a huge fan of fish flakes, but it wasn't bad. The sesame seed tofu was amazing though! So creamy and delicious. Mmm.

Then I made my way to Eito territory, i.e. Sabae, where the Dome is. At the station I spotted this sign:

Another sign pointing me in the right direction XDD

I checked into my hotel first and was pleased to discover I could see the Dome from my room!

It ended up being about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I went for a walk around the dome to make sure I'd be oriented and ready for the concerts the next day and saw the staff preparing and loading in stuff. I saw one girl adding a layer of paint to Yasu's ranger helmet. And from one of the windows I could see the Eito ranger scooters. My tension was definitely up for the concerts!!

So, what you've all been waiting for..... the CONCERTS!!! XDD

I was lucky enough to go to the three shows I'd planned to go to, so both shows Saturday and the matinee on Sunday. The scalpers were easy to find but man, they drove a hard bargain! They seemed worse than some of the other ones I've dealt with in Osaka and Tokyo. I wasn't willing to shell out 50,000 yen for an arena seat so I stuck to the stands and I have no complaints! My seats on Saturday were both awesome! For the matinee I was in the 5th row just to the left of the main stage, and for the evening show I was in the 8th row just behind the main stage. I could see them all really clearly. Especially when I was behind the stage. They stand there for Eito ranger, the MC, the drum/guitar solos, some songs, and at the end when they're saying goodbye so I had plenty of chances to see them up close and I could even notice the little things. Like Yoko spacing out when it's not his turn to sing, and Subaru and Yasu having their own quiet conversation in the corner while the others were talking, stuff like that...

Fukui is my favorite venue so far. It's not very big so every seat is practically a good seat. For the last show I was with paaaaan and a new eighter friend, Annie, and we were in the the standing section at the very top but even those were good! Sun Dome is so small that where we were standing is probably the equivalent of the top of the first floor at Tokyo Dome. During the encore Yasu and Maru came by on the carts and we couldn't touch them or anything but they were really close. Yasu made eye contact with all of us and waved.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll try to take it one show at a time.... Mind you this isn't a concert report per say, more like random observations and highlights that stick out for me.

Saturday Matinee - Awesome XD During the first song Subaru was right in front of me <3 (Omg, I'm drawing a blank already... haha.) Anyway, the first show they all had a lot of energy
except for Yoko who was strangely quiet. He didn't talk a lot during the MC and I heard from one of the girls that they saw him check his watch at one point, haha. Bad form, Yoko!! But apparently it was implied at several points during the show that some of them were hung over. BAD FORM GUYS! Not that it affected the show. I wouldn't have guessed had the other girls not mentioned it since it was part of the Japanese I didn't get. They speak so fast during the MC and the ranger skit that it's hard to catch it all! Maru was ridiculously cute. He did a Michael Jackson moon walk at one point and was just, all over the place as usual <3 Ohkura was dying during the Eito ranger skit... He was laughing at everything! He was seriously on the floor laughing. Even during Nasu's death. He laughs a lot in general, cause he's just un sin verguenza (pardon the spanish), but it was to the point where I was kinda annoyed. Haha. I was like, Nasu died! Shut up! Lol. I mean they all laugh cause they're always joking around and doing stupid things but Ohkura was distracting. But ok, I'll stop talking trash about Ohkura now. It's just that my love-hate relationship with him continues. Luckily I haven't had anymore x-rated dreams of him...those were...disturbing to say the least.

During the MC they noticed paaaaan, weesachan, and some other foreigners in the arena section so they talked to them. It always makes me happy when they pay attention to us foreign fans. At the end Hina even thanked all the foreign fans for coming and for their support. I tried to yell and get their attention since I was pretty close, but they all had their backs to me and were looking down at the people in arena. And well, the girls had already shouted America so they probably didn't realize someone else was shouting it as well. Next time I'll have to yell 'Dominica!' to get their attention.

This first show is kind of a blur because I was just really excited and caught up in the rush of being there and so close!! Also, at the end Shota came to our section! He shook hand with the people in the front and then came up the stairs. As usual, I was just watching him come our way since it never occurs to me to swarm them and try to touch them. But then once the girls next to me rushed to the aisle to try to say hello and touch him I was like, oh yeah, and followed them. So I touched Shota, haha. He is such a sweetheart. Omg I want to take him home <3 Once he got to the top of our section he got on one of the carts and went around that way. After that Ryo who was on another cart got off and also came down the center aisle of our section, but at that point Subaru was walking in front of us with a sign board so I ignored Ryo and didn't try to get close to him or anything. I'm kind of over Ryo and I've touched him before anyway so it wasn't as exciting for me. Oh! During the drum/bass/guitar section Ryo came out and played with Yasu. He looked really excited and a little nervous to be doing it. I was proud of him! <3

[ETA: Oh yeah! At the end Ryo took off Yasu's shirt and threw it down to the staff so Yasu had no other choice but to go topless. The poor guy was hugging himself and looking around like, what? why? So cute. And mmm, yasu!chest :D]

Oh my gosh, this is all over the place. I really suck at this guys, sorry >_<

After the matinee I ran into some Spanish girls outside the Dome. They had a Spanish flag so I ran up to them eager to speak a language I know, haha, and we ended up chatting. They were Ryo fans and their flag said, 'Ryo Ikemen' XD Well, have a look:

They told me he saw them when he went by in his cart and got really excited saying, "Supein?! Hontou?!" Then he smiled at them, blew them a kiss, and said in Spanish, "Te quiero!" Oh that Ryo. Such a slut for the foreign girls. Ne, bubbalooee9 ;)

Saturday Evening: This was the show where I was sitting directly behind the stage and could see them when it was dark or they weren't necessarily in the spotlight. This is when I noticed that when Subaru sings 'Kawaita Hana' he shakes his butt to the slow beat. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen <3 I wanted to grab his ass so badly >__< Ryo is such a dork. During one song (I forgot which) he was trying to show off by tipping his mic stand and throwing it up in the air and stuff except being the loser he is... he dropped it several times, lol. Oh, Ryo. Yoko was still pretty out of it. I wondered if he was having a bad day. During the MC he was quiet until Maru mentioned that his sister (who is 11) doesn't want to take baths with him anymore. Ohkura offered that maybe it's because she's starting to develop and that's when Yoko jumped in and they stared talking about girls and breasts. These boys, seriously. During Eito ranger Black and Red argue because B wants to be R and it gets to a point where R gets so annoyed he punches B. Well, during this show Yoko kept arguing with Subaru but Subaru wouldn't punch him, he was was making Yoko really work for it, till finally Yoko grabbed S's hand and punched himself, lol. Then Subaru really did get annoyed and finally punched him for real. Double lol.

Oh, at the end of the Eito ranger skit Subaru and Yasu had some sort of lovers spat. Random/ Did I mention how Yasu kept grabbing Subaru's ass and pulling him close during the beginning of the Eito ranger skit? This was during both shows. In fact I noticed that Yasuba were by each other a lot. They often walk by each other and reach out a hand to touch the other, or whisper something. It's sweet./random
So at the end of the skit everything is good and they've put the puzzle together and while Hina and the others talk Yasuba hang in the back by the podium with the puzzle. Well I was watching them the whole time cause it's well, Yasuba, and they were talking intensely when suddenly Subaru looks angry/upset and Yasu looks like, wtf! you are not seriously angry, are you? At this point Hina had already sang the first line of "Donna ni..." and I thought for sure Subaru would miss his cue but just in time he picked up his mic and sang, while looking directly at Yasu the whole time, "Itsuka kitto kassarai ni iku", there's a brief pause in the music here and Subaru says very seriously and directly at Yasu, "Honma ni", then continues with the rest of the line, "Motto omae ni....." Yasu was kind of frozen like, 'what? You're doing this here? Now?' And then went off with Ohkura since that's what he's supposed to do in the skit. It was really strange. So I kept watching them for the rest of the show. I noticed that Yasu kept looking at Subaru and Subaru wouldn't look at Yasu. After the MC and the juniors it's the rockish songs and Subaru poured himself into them like I hadn't quite seen since the FFF lives. His singing was more intense than the matinee show and if you ask me I'd say it's because he was letting out whatever it was that had him pissed off. I mean, the guy was totally in the zone, even more so than usual in my opinion. Subaru always rocks out at the end but this time he was completely lost in the music. Yasu tried to get Subaru's attention at various points and Subaru was just not having it. Then it seems Subaru let the natural high of the music bring him out of whatever funk he'd been in and by the end he was just plain hyper. Jumping around in a way that is not always normal for Subaru and interacting with the fans more than he usually does. I could see Yasu always watching him and migrating to wherever he was on the stage. Subaru wasn't paying too much attention to Yasu until finally at the end during the goodbyes Subaru was doing some silly shake of the shoulders and Yasu came and joined him and after a bit Subaru acknowledged him. Then before they all left Subaru went around bowing and saying, "Sumimasen." I'm sure part of it was just him being silly, but again, in my opinion, he was also apologizing for being so moody and for whatever it is that had happened. Yasu rushed down the stairs after him when they exited and that was that. Interesting.....

Sunday matinee: Ok guys, I'm running out of steam here. For this show Ohkura was being a tool again. At one point he stood there for like five minutes just scratching his bum like nothing. Oh, Ohkura. Yoko was much more with it the second day and he dominated the MC as per usual. They talked about the different sounds that the guys make and Yoko said he can tell when he's in the bathroom who's in the urinal next to him just by the noises the person makes. Yasuba seemed normal again. Friendly, but not too clingy. Yasu wasn't following Subaru around the stage like he had towards the end of the evening show the day before. During the Eito ranger there was some OhYass fan service which was pretty funny. When Hina made them make up Yasu fell on top of Ohkura. Very cute. Subaru was into it and totally dominated the singing as always, though the raw edge that he'd had the night before wasn't quite there in the same way. He also wasn't as hyper during the encores, but he was still in a good mood which makes me happy. He's really in his element when they do their rock songs and he can just rock out. I love it. It made me think all over again how glad I am that he gets to do FFF and the JRock lives. It's an outlet he really needs, I think.

This time I was at the top and Yasu and Maru came by in the carts. I mentioned before about Yasu making eye contact and waving. Maru also looked in our direction but he did the general, PAAAAAN! with us. No, one to one eye contact. But Yoko did see us! In fact he tried to throw his sign board in our direction but it hit the railing and fell down into the pit below us. He kept looking at us and pointing at us asking about it and we kept pointing down to show it had fallen. The poor guy totally stressed out over it and spent the rest of the encore first alerting the staff to try and find it and then looking at us apologetically. In the end no one got it. A staff member came to tell us that even if they found it it would be unfair to give it to someone as it's impossible to know who would have caught it in the end. So that was that.

I suggest you all read paaaaan's reports for a more coherent account. I am no good at this.

I couldn't stick around for the evening show because I'd miss the night bus back to Tokyo if I did, so I headed out with my new eighter friends Annie and Kat and we did purikura before heading back to the station. The only purikura machine in Sabae I'd wager.

So that's it. Tired of reading yet? ;D

And to everyone who wished me a safe trip, THANK YOU!! I'm sure it's in part due to all of your well wishes that my trip went so smoothly ♥ ♥ ♥

Quite a few of you asked for pics of my new haircut so I'll end with that. I took these real quick before going to bed the first night I was in Fukui so pardon the tired/dazed look. Also, my hair is quite a mess from the humidity and sweat...

With glasses.

Without.

OMG.

That was so long O__O

GOOOO EITOO~~~~ ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞
