Thank god for socks

Well I had a horrible experience today: I ended up stepping on a dead mouse

I don't know how it got there, and even if we did have mice, I have no idea why it would decide to die right in the middle of the kitchen. Considering the fact that I normally walk around the house barefoot, I have never been more glad to be wearing socks today
