As interesting as watching the network has been, I suppose it's time to let everyone know I'm still around, hmm?

[Alas, whatever has been sending people away has yet to rid the tower of the ever cheerful scientist. The background of his feed is clearly the infirmary, though why would he be down there-- oh well. Now, now, what was the harm in ( Read more... )

While He Does Not Appear Imminently Dangerous
There Is Nothing To Say He Wont Prove To Be In The Near Future
Even The Youngest Can Manifest Themselves As A Challenge

It Is More Likely They
Again Whoever They Are
Are Protecting Him From Us
As They Have Kept Us Without An Honest Word Of Why And He Appears Knowledgeable

[Oho, one of those troll children.]

We do have names for our hosts, actually. They presented themselves to us before any of your kind arrived.

Not that is changes much!

And yes, I do lean towards the idea that they want to keep him away from us rather than the other way around. It seems more plausible.

Jason, Dax, and Riki would be the other three.

[And he'll summarize this little meeting went for her.]

[In as much as someone with half their face covered can look curious, he does. Obviously he was not as observant.]

A child? I wouldn't be surprised if they were protecting us from him... vicious creatures, some of them. He certainly doesn't seem dangerous, but then again... many don't.

[Oh the joys of speaking from experience.]

Should any interesting results from this exploration turn up, I'd appreciate the knowledge. I haven't felt quite up to roaming as of late.

Really? I can't say I've ever had a problem with children that young. [Because he avoids them like the plague anyway.] But you never know!

Certainly. Anything that comes forth will be posted on the network, so it should be easy to access.

Perhaps not young. Teenagers, I believe you would call them. But I would rather not even risk anything. Young children can be dangerous in their own right, I suppose. [Naturally he's thinking of young demon children, and while he can take on just about anyone he'd rather not chance it.]

I appreciate it. I'll just have to keep a closer eye on this network than I have been.

Ah! Teenagers! Well... yes... those are often nothing but trouble. Always complicating things. That or blowing them up.

[LANCELOT WHYYYY. Ahem. Right.]

now that LJ is letting me tag this....... fractus_animus July 31 2011, 04:52:09 UTC
[ He's annoyed. He's going to need to learn to filter things on this, isn't he? Not that you could tell from a glance--but he'd seen that too.

And he doesn't happen to like it. ]

They're using a child. It's not particularly harmful that they let Doctor-san talk to him, but...

[ It's not right. This guy? Also stinks of being a scientist. Which he is far from comfortable with, but whatever. ]

I personally feel like this is an opportunity as much as it is a problem.

[ On the one hand! They could get more out of that kid about the tower. ... On the other, it's a child who believes the lie he's been fed and he feels pretty bad for him. How could they save him and help open his eyes? It wouldn't be easy. ]

[Everything about this guy is yelling scientist from the highest mountaintop, kiddo.]

It might not seem harmful to us, but we cannot know for sure what our hosts believe may or may not be harmful. Even if it's only words from a child!

[ ... Yeah it's kind of hard not to notice. Personal bothering here, but Minato has a perfect pokerface. ]

... I suppose you have a point. Though it seems more to me like they'd rather not let too much information slip.

That is the most plausible reason for their worry. Children are far more honest than people think they are!
