Because Nanowrimo isn't any fun if you don't stop partway through and work on fanfic. ;) By the way, thanks, distiviant - I hadn't forgotten about this fic, but it had sat long enough that I could make some sense of it again, and this is the result ( Read more... )

elfangor, alloran, ax, tobias

I'll give a more in-depth review once I wake up tomorrow, but I just wanted you to know that I love you and this fanfic, and I want to have your babies even though we are both women.

And that goes double for my inner Ax fanaticgirl.

Wakefulness is indeed a good thing, but you've made me insanely happy as it is. It's so nice to be loved. Thank you!

Only your inner fangirl, huh? ;)

This is so insanely wonderful. I really liked your Jake (everything else was great, too, but your Jake was especially brilliant) This line grabbed me: "Prince Jake looked on, appearing suddenly too exhausted to be interested.". I loved how you didn't belabor Jake's melancholy, but portrayed it subtly and perfectly.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked Jake, especially since you did such a terrific job with him in that last fic you posted. :) I find him just so damned miserable that it's hard to have him doing much of anything, but Alloran has hardly any idea what's going on with him, so there's not much left but subtlety and the occasional insight. ;)

Thanks! Elfangor was the reason I bothered to read Animorphs, but I've fallen in love with Alloran. ;) I'm glad you liked it! (Chapter three is up here, by the way, if you can stand the Pit of Voles.)

Yay, this is very cool. Are you planning on any more parts? *g*

I love the way you desrice Ax - with the human qualities he has picked up :) It's really interesting to see him through Alloran's eyes

Hiya! I've just come across this today, and I love it. It seems so in character, and alloran justr breaks your heart, doesn't he? just one thing, i was trying to read the rest over at ff.n but there are whole chunks of thoughtspeak dialogue missing, so it doesn't make a lot of sense. I know th first two bits and the fourth are at animorphsfic, but are the other bits somewhere else as well?
thanks, Kate

Thank you! Both for liking the story, and for letting me know about stupid ff.net. I never thought to check the old chapters -- I certainly agree that it doesn't make any sense without knowing what people are saying!

I'll work on fixing the ff.net stuff, but in the meanwhile I'll get proper HTML versions posted at alloran.blogspot.com. As soon as I find/finish re-coding proper HTML versions, that is.

And, yeah, Alloran totally breaks my heart - he was the single-most constant character throughout the entire series (apart from maybe the Ellimist/Crayak) and then he's written off with a couple of sentences in the first few chapters of #54. It was nearly as bad as the handling of the Aux. Animorphs and Arbron.
