Rachel songs?

Hey! I need your help guys!

I plan to make a little Animorphs fanmix and now I'm looking for songs that fit to Rachel's character and most importantly  to her development throughout the series.

Anyone want to share some suggestions? That would be really great!

My favorite Rachel is song is "Rabbit Heart" by Florence + the Machine.

I feel like it really captures the sense of Rachel's courage and her eventual sacrifice, and the chorus lyrics of "this is a gift, it comes with a price" makes me think of the morphing ability. The final stanza seems particularly indicative of the morphing ability and of Rachel's eventually sacrificing her life to the cause:

And in the spring, I shed my skin
And it blows away with the changing wind
The water turns, from blue to red
As towards the sky I offer it.

There are a lot of more subtle connections I've made with the song - and really, I found it almost uncanny how closely I found this song to mirror Rachel's character - but it's probably more fun, if you like the song at least, to find them yourself.

There's a song that makes me think of strong women in general everytime I hear it. It doesn't fit everywhere in the lyrics to Rachel, but I could easily imagine Tobias singing it about Rachel. "She's Always A Woman" by Billy Joel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI3MwwWYC3Q

Some lyrics are spot on, some aren't even close, but the point is that the song's narrator has this idea of what the subject is like to him, regardless of what she appears to everyone else. In Animorphs context, the chief point is probably not losing your humanity in the eyes of those you care about, no matter what you do, or in this case what species you look like.
