Two questions about the Andalite Chronicles

Okay, so in the Andalite Chronicles, why did the end of the second part not fit into the third part? At the end of the second, they're being attacked by one of the energy eating asteroids, but in the start of the third, they're falling into a black hole that wasn't there before

I have all three published separately, but after they were published together I think they disappeared from the shelves.

Yes, I know that. Sorry for not being more clear. I just wanted to know if they were all published.

That's a major, major KASU. The only thing I can possibly think of is that the majority of the spaceships collided with the asteroids and formed a black hole. Probably not physically possible, but there you go.
