Oh wow!!! Those do look good. Although, I'm no expert on it since I've never really had sushi. Haha;;;; What I've had is the ones that are just the rice wrapped in the seaweed. My high school Japanese teacher made it for the class and it was so unbelievably good! I was actually surprised by it. lol But, ANYWAY! Those look good! And the Saiyuki fan. SQUEEEEE~~~!!!!
Also, I'm glad to hear you've survived the ugly ass weather ya'll were getting (are still getting?). Damn Artic blast!!! >_<#
Thanks! I really tried hard! Almost got it but with more practice I should make it! This weekend we're going to a friend's place to work on it more. Her Mom is Japanese and said she'd help me out.
I love my Saiyuki fan! Got it back in 2009 at the Swap Meet at Yaoicon! I also got a cool black plastic backpack. Unfortunately the backpack barely survived the con but hey, it lasted while I was there!
Yeah, we got dumped on TWICE. Missed 3 days of work due to them shutting us down. Not all bad...just stayed home and out of the icy cold weather.
Practice makes perfect, right! XDb And with a Japanese Mom helpin' ya out, how can you not perfect this! XDDD
MY GODDESS!!! Man, I swear, every time I hear of your crusades to Yaoi-Con, you always seem to find some awesome thing at the Swap Meet. Or rather I should say, things! 8O
Sounds like a nice time. You get to stay inside, warm and cozy! But, nonetheless, this winter has been all sort of crazy, hasn't it?! lol
Oh, you know, same old, same old. lol Just school, and editing, and NOW I'M KNITTING! So just keeping myself busy and distracted. lol XD;;;;
they look yummy!!! im having a sudden craving for sushi now oooooohhhhh... also, the saiyuki fan off to the left is a real nce touch! hahaha... i think my mum complains about not being able to roll it as tightly as she wants too, oh well, im thiking a+ for effort anyway, congrats on your first attempt of making sushi!
Thanks! I'm pretty proud of my attempt. This Saturday I'm getting a lesson on sushi, and won ton, making from my friend's Mom who is Japanese. Let's just hope she doesn't smack me with her fan for my screw ups. LOL!
I got the Saiyuki fan a couple of years ago at Yaoicon. I love that fan. Sooooo pretty!

Saturday my brother-in-law made me feel good when he asked when I was making more because he was craving more.
Guess they weren't as bad as I thought!
Hopefully this weekend, after a lesson from my friend's mom - who's Japanese - I can do a better job next time.
