♥ glad you liked. I lovelovelove Terry, and I think there's a very special spot for him in Bruce's heart that is separate and distinct from all the other boys, special in a way that the other boys weren't, (see comment below to ) but I also think that he will never be able to be Dick.
And... reading? There's there's a batman beyond comic? I've been watching the animation, almost 2/3 done with it.
THIS was so bitter sweet and perfect and the perfect explanation why i refuse to accept this reality of the Bat universe. I cant imagine a future where bruce and dick didnt end up together....nope...lalalalalala. cant hear you...lol.
yeah, I do think it's a terrible, terrible shame that Bruce and Dick aren't even TALKING in Batman Beyond. I'm not done with the series (though I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen anyway), but in my head canon, at some point Terry finds out more about Nightwing, maybe even meets him, and helps Bruce and Dick reconcile. It's only fair.
And to be honest, I do think that Bruce loves Terry as much, if not more (in a different way, having to do more with Terry being his son than anything else) than the other boys. Terry comes to Bruce at a time when Bruce has absolutely nothing left for him, not the mission, not his friends, barely his life, and I think old!Bruce really, really develops a soft spot for him in a way that he possibly didn't for the other boys. At the same time, I think there's a place in Bruce's heart for Dick (and each of the other Robins) that Terry will never be able to reach.
That was beautiful. Bittersweet, sad, and oh so wonderful. Poor Bruce. And poor Terry. I love Batman Beyond. It was a fantastic series. It ended to soon.
Thank you :) I'm almost done with the series, and I agree, it's a fantastic series. I can't wait to watch season 3, and I do wish they would continue it and integrate it with either the rest of DC comics or even just DCAU
Because of course no one can match Dick, Dick is goddamn poetry in motion, and as much as I love Terry, Bruce's solemn order for him to never attempt those moves again is just so perfect and fitting, and.... GUH.
The whole story is bittersweet in the best way. Wonderful job!
Guuuh, yeah, I was (am) an avid Tim Drake fan, but something about the way Dick moves, and the beauty of his acrobatics... it's just. I don't know. It just fills me with aesthetic pleasure, and awesome as Terry is, there's just no matching Dick in that category.

I'm guessing you're reading the current BB title?

There will never be perfection like Dick Grayson in flight again.
