Musical/movie theme doesn't really do much for me, but I don't particularly object to it either. If we do it, I say we leave it up to each person to determine whether or not they want to mention a specific movie in their character submission. Of course if someone has a specific movie in mind, they'll need sufficient references in case their artist isn't familiar with it.

Musicals/movies are bad for me. I haven't seen many, and the ones I have might be unfamiliar to others or hard to find references for. I wouldn't mind so long as the musical/movie in question had a wiki or IMDB page for people to refer to.
Also, would plays be included in musicals? (Or mini-series in movies? Eh heh, I suppose I'm over-thinking this!;;)

Of course references are very important if we got that route, I think plays and mini-series and TV shows could be included easily.

Too bad the super cliché theme of pirates is super popular. I think Musical/Movie theme would be incredibly fun. Vincent Garner and Victor would work incredibly well as Fight Club, and it would be fun to sign up some other character to go with Cabaret or Chicago or something.

I think Music/Movies is a really good idea.

Hehe, see I do too! I thought Pirates would be popular since it's fun and simple, but I was sad that not too many people seemed up for musical/movie. I think seeing our own characters "cosplaying" in a weird or funny (or perhaps even very fitting) role for them in a movie or musical seems cool to me. Well maybe I can find some ways to make it more appealing.
