Title: The Idols’ Secret
Pairing: YooSu
Genre: Humor, Angst, Fluff
Length: 10 chapters
Rating: PG
Summary: Yoochun and Junsu, 2 famous idols (who by the way aren’t the best of friends in the world), are bound by a contract which dictates them to act as a couple. Sure, this boosts their popularity as intended…but what if love, something that wasn’t actually planned and prepared for, comes into the equation?

Trailer+Prologue
The photos spread quickly, and soon after that, the “YooSu” couple started filling headline after headline, topped every famous search engine, and even reached some news on TV. What Junsu and Yoochun’s team didn’t expect though, was that this was probably even bigger than when Park Jisung and Kim Minji publicly announced their relationship…and of course, that meant a lot of promise for the agency. Today would be their press conference, which will finally bring attention to their activities, and bring in the money.
Junsu sighed for the nth time that day.
“Hey, why do you keep on sighing?”
“What, you know I don’t approve of this plan!”
“Well I don’t, too! But hey, I’m enduring all of it, so at least try to put some effort!”
“How dare you say that I’m not exerting effort! Having to fly back here just to play with you isn’t easy, you know!”
“Oh yeah?! Well I---!”
They were in the midst of bickering when one of the crew members came in to check on them.
They quickly composed themselves as if they weren’t even fighting in the first place, and sat back down on the sofa with hands intertwining.
“Hey guys, you’ll be on in ten, so please freshen up then go out once you’re ready!”
The man smiled and took an exit.
The “couple” disconnected their hands immediately, as if holding each other stung them painfully.
They were back into glaring mode, when the door opened again.
In a panic, Yoochun grabbed Junsu closer and brought an arm around his shoulder, and Junsu swiftly wiped off the glare off his face and turned it into a loving stare.
It was that helper/crew guy again, and Junsu inwardly scoffed.
“Oh and uhm, congratulations guys! I just wanted to really say that.” The man smiled again.
“Thank you,” both Yoochun and Junsu managed to say.
Once the man shut the door, both sighed in relief.
“That was close…” Yoochun unwrapped his arm from Junsu, as if the man had some sort of virus.
Junsu sighed, “Seriously, all this is shortening my lifespan…”
Sooner than later, they were out again in public, but this time in front of numerous cameras.
The moment they stepped on the small stage (well, even before that actually), cameras started clicking away and it didn’t help Junsu’s anxiety.
They sat down side by side, but this time they were kind of relying on each other for support…after all, deceiving to the whole Korean population (plus overseas fans all over the world) wasn’t a very easy thing to do….and they were just starting.
“Good afternoon to everyone,” Yoochun started. “We’ve seen the pictures, videos, and heard the rumors…” He breathed.
“…so we’re here to confirm that we really are dating…”
Yoochun continued, “The rumors aren’t all true though…like for example, even if Junsu and I have been together for quite some time, we’re not getting married too soon…I mean, sure we’re thinking about it, but we both think that it’s not yet the right time. So please, don’t believe every single thing that people are saying, because some of those rumors are sure to be false.”
The mic was passed on to Junsu, who said his greetings, and some other basic stuff.
Then, a few moments later, the floor was open for questions.
At first it was hard to make everyone cooperate and ask only one question at a time, but they were able to control the crowd in a bit.
“How did the two of you meet?”
Junsu took the mic.
“Well, as you know we are from the same agency, so we were bound to meet during trainings…though, we didn’t really start going out as early as then.”
“How long have you been together?”
It was Yoochun who answered this time…they agreed to have equal airing time, so they were going to answer the questions alternately, unless someone was asked to answer another question consecutively.
“We’ve known each other for around…” he pauses, and acts a bit shocked as if he never knew that they’ve known each other for so long, “around 12 years? But then we’ve been officially dating for around just two and a half.”
“What do you like about each other?”
Yoochun opted for a classic, gentleman-like answer.
“Well, Junsu’s very bubbly…he’s really funny, and cute, and talented…and he’s just so special, I don’t really know how to explain it…” Yoochun made a soft chuckle for effect.
BUT even if in the outside it looks as if the two were very sweet, deep inside it was as if they were still bickering.
“Well I for one,” Junsu said, “think that Yoochunie is the complete opposite of my ideal lover.”
They both laughed, but if someone was close enough to Yoochun he would be able to tell that the man’s eyebrows were furrowed more than usual.
“First, he has no abs,” the press started giggling when Yoochun did a small ‘Yah!’
“Then he also can’t cook, and doesn’t like soccer as much as I do…and well there are a lot more things that I kind of wanted my partner to have, which Yoochun doesn’t have…but I think that’s the thing, he was someone unique, and he was able to catch my attention even without the qualities I was looking for.”
Junsu covered his face as if he said something that embarrassed him, when in fact he was thinking like this:
Boom, Kim Junsu just burned Park Yoochun. Burn baby,
Kim Junsu 1; Park Yoochun 0
The press con went on and on for at least an hour or so, and after tons of questions and answers, they were finally wrapping up.
“Thank you to our fans,” Junsu was concluding, “our managers, our CEO…things would probably be more difficult without all of you. And to the people out there, despite all the controversies, we hope that in the future all will come to accept that we love each other (Junsu cringed a bit on that part)…and we hope that everyone will continue to support us.”
They stood up for some pictures, their hands automatically finding their way towards each other.
They paused for the last few flashes, capturing numerous images, then started heading back to the dressing room.
Once behind the closed door, they detached from each other.
Yoochun turned around to look at Junsu, a bit annoyed.
“Yah, am I that bad to you?”
Junsu chuckled.
“What, it’s true! To me you are…charmless. In my checklist I think you only have one out of the ten things in my list.”
Yoochun scoffed, “And what would that one thing be?”
“Being able to play an instrument.”
Junsu turned around after getting his bag, but stopped once he reached the door.
“Which by the way, is true for pretty much anyone in the industry…so maybe after all, you’re not too special even if you scored a 1 over 10 in my book….but hey, it’s better than a zero, right?”
Junsu laughed, while leaving Yoochun to bite his lip and close his eyes in the room in annoyance.
Chapter 2//“Oh wow, such a big word Junsu-sshi….you actually need my help?”
A/N: Okay I’m sorry this took too long! I actually wrote it and was ready to post it, but when I read it again I was like whoopsie that’s too much angst…so I rewrote almost half of it all over :)) you know sometimes I unconsciously write angst instead of humor, I’m just really not used to it yet =)) but for sure the angst will come later, no worries for au lovers ahaha. And yays, 2nd honor! Off to celebrate with some friends this weekend ^^ Comments are loved :D
