Hi.

I've been meaning to get back here to post but Instagram, Twitter and Facebook have been a sufficient distraction. I've sat down several times to post on LJ and whatever it was that I thought needed recording would evaporate.

So, to get reacquainted with LiveJournal and attempt to reingage myself here, I'd be happy to answer any questions,

Thanks for responding! My weekend is going fine. It mainly involved weeding out my iTunes library. I lightened it by about 10,000 songs. It's surprisingly time consuming.

From a couple similarly-minded posts recently, it sounds like there are still lots of people reading, we're just all being kinda quiet. (The solution, of course, is to post more, which I too am working on...)

Your new 'stache is excellent. I deeply envy you your facial follicles. Tell us more about your new look and the thoughts behind it.

I suppose I'm misty-eyed about the pre-facebook mid-00's when LJ was the happenin' place. I realize it will never be what it was, but rather than left adrift in a sea of nostalgia, maybe it can be something new and different. It's up to us and what we do with it and the connections we make. Most of my connections have gone dark. Time to make new ones!

Yay! I was hoping I could pay more attention to LJ using the official LiveJournal app on my iPad but it spams the posts with ads for the app. That's not going to work. Hrmph.

Facebook seems very noisy. Google+ is full of strangers that have added me to circles and I haven't taken the time to fully develop a group of friends there. Twitter is quick but isolated. It doesn't cultivate an environment for conversation. And LiveJournal seems to be the old mall that you still go to but doesn't have the foot traffic it once had.

What's your favorite place to post? Do you cross post to different sites?
