[Phone; filtered from drones]

Well, it looks like the town has finally decided to give us a passable boss monster for a change.  It seems to be doing rather well for itself so far, but worry not!  I happen to be an expert on oozes, slimes, jellies, and all other manner of amorphous sticky crawling masses of goo.  Just listen to what I have to say, ( Read more... )

[Someone else can be seen struggling against the blob as well, but as defeated as she was with the ever-expanding mass it was rather half-hearted.

That didn't stop her from noticing others in it with her though. She spoke from an open space in front of her that was apparently chewed out, if a little muffled.]

Hey, are you okay?

[Also muffled, since he hasn't dug or eaten himself a space for this yet...]

[Does Red Mage like hugs? ... That's a silly question, everyone likes hugs! Which is why once inside the blob, another smaller blob will come to give Red Mage a hug.]

[Red Mage starts screaming through the cherry jell-o hell, assuming that he's being grappled by something with an acidic body over here and is about to slowly start dissolving. When that doesn't happen, he seems to calm down a bit.]

I wasn't aware smaller oozes lived inside larger ones... perhaps this is related to the life cycle of the black pudding. It's a possibility that this species, instead of dividing into two when attacked with a slashing weapon, simply spills smaller specimens of ooze out of itself. Intriguing.
