I normally have a huge aversion to FF.net... that said.... I'm taking the plunge.

That's the problem I tend to have - this fandom is sorely lacking in quality, in-character Kanda/Allen fics that don't brutalize the hell out of their personalities in order to make it work. I have a desperate love for rivals-turned-friends/lovers-type stories, but still carrying that antagonistic edge that only they have. A lot of authors don't do that, or they make Allen into this quivering bitch of a lover.

He was a street punk for several years. He grew up around Cross. I'm pretty sure he's not nearly as innocent as he looks.

Totally late on the reply (overtime sucks!) but yeah, seriously agree. And definitely it was relief that he could move on from Alma. And just that permission to move on, to follow Allen. I mean... just... amazes me how, no matter what, Kanda's the one to be there for Allen. And even with the pet name 'moyashi'. I mean, like hell he hates Allen if he uses a petname. It'd be "Walker" otherwise.
