Making river and reed for my Schleich display

I have tried new so to say “terrain forming techniques” in my African display to make a river with bed of rushes.
See how it looks.

Hi,
I found the Laughing Giraffe forum, first. My attention was caught by your slogan: "Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite!"...that's great. I've provided a lot of details about how my wife and I made the exhibits.
