Yunho got angry looking at the man that shared a bed with Jaejoong. He didn’t want to meet the man. He didn’t want to know his name. Maybe if he didn’t, he could pretend that he didn’t exist.
Siwon went and hugged Jaejoong, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Yunho turned his head, avoiding the scene in front of him.
The next thing he knew, there was a hand in front of him. He had no other choice but to shake his hand. Siwon sat next to him, his smile couldn’t get any bigger. Yunho was in hell, not that he could complain.
They talked for a while and Yunho had to admit that the man was smart and nice. Ironically, they seemed to like each other. Yunho wanted to hate him, but he knew that Siwon wasn’t responsible for his misery.
Siwon told him a lot of things about his son, things he liked, thing he didn’t like. He was grateful for the information since Jae refused to exchange more than a few words with him. They kept talking while Jaejoong prepared coffee in the kitchen. Then they heard Yunnie crying. Jaejoong rushed to his son’s room, leaving the two men alone.
“So, do you still love him?”. Siwon asked.
“I don’t think I want to answer that”. He felt nervous in front of the other man.
“I think you do”. He smiled again, like knowing something that he didn’t know. Yunho frowned.
Jaejoong came out holding little Yunnie in his arms, his chin on top of his son’s head. He continued to cry softly in his father’s chest. The teapot whistled in the kitchen, so Jaejoong gave little Yunnie to Siwon. The boy clung to Siwon’s body. He rocked the little boy back and forth until he was asleep again. Yunho felt like an intruder, and intruder to his own family.
“Sometimes, he has terrible nightmares”. Siwon explained. Seeing that he was sleeping peacefully once again, he took the boy to his room.
Jaejoong sat down besides Yunho, offering him a cup of coffee. Jaejoong knew that he had to talk to him, for his son’s sake………. for his own sake.
“I wasn’t expecting to see you again”. Jae tried to speak truthfully.
“I never stopped thinking about you”. Yunho wanted to say so many things.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”. Jaejoong got defensive after hearing the question.
“I was going to, but you never gave the chance!. You left before I could tell you!”. Jae raised his voice a little bit.
“I am sorry”, was the only answer that Yunho had. He wanted to hit himself for his stupidity.
“I don’t want your apologies. I don’t care for them. I just want you to be a good father. I don’t want you to be in his life and then decided that you don’t want to anymore. I will not allow that to happen to my son”. Jaejoong spoke with resentment.
“I want you to know that I have changed”. Jaejoong snorted in disbelief.
“I lived with Junsu now. I don’t work for my parents anymore. The moment Junsu told me what my father did to you, I cut ties with my father. I want to be a better man…for him…for you.”
“You don’t have to do anything for me, just be there for him. He needs you more than you know”. Jaejoong tried hard to sound indifferent. He didn’t know Yunho had changed so much in just a few weeks. Maybe he could trust him again.
The months flew by after that first meeting. Yunho moved on with his life, balancing his work and his responsibility as a father. He loved to be a father. Father and son quickly developed a bond. Yunho visited him almost everyday. He now, was in charged to drop and pick up little Yunnie from school. He felt so proud, when the little boy called him “appa”. Physically, his son looked exactly like him, but he had Jaejoong’s personality. The little boy was a bundle of surprises and mischief.
His relationship with Jaejoong was another story. He still behaved coldly towards him. There were rare moments when he opened up to him, but they were very short-lived.

Yunho arrived with his son from the park. Little Yunnie showing a big bruise on his forehead. Yunho was in deep trouble. Jaejoon rushed to his son’s side, looking horrified at the bump in his son’s forehead. He stayed between his father’s legs, proudly showing off his bruise.
“What happened?”.
“He kind of fell”. Yunho answered back, scared of the look that he was giving him.
“You are so irresponsible. I am never letting you take him out to the park”. Jae started to lecture Yunho. He just grinned to himself. Little Yunnie with his mouth opened wide, just stared at his umma-Jae, amazed at how fast he could talk. Yunho place his hand on Jae’s shoulder, telling him to relax. Jaejoong understood that he got overprotected and they both started to laughed hysterically. That was the first time Jaejoong let him touch him.

Since Jaejoong allowed Yunho to take their son for the weekend. He wanted to checked out the place where his son would be sleeping. He arrived in the morning at Yunho’s apartment. He was nervous to be there with Yunho since Junsu was out of town. The place was really small for two people to be living in. Yunho showed him around and he was satisfied with the place. Then he heard Yunho’s rumbling stomach.
“You haven’t eaten yet?”. Jae asked, with concerned on his face.
“Ah, no yet. Junsu is not here and I don’t know how to cook”. Yunho felt shy and embarrassed.
Jaejoong immediately went to the kitchen, looking around for ingredients so he could make something tasty for Yunho. He sent Yunho back to bed, since he knew that he worked really hard during the week and barely slept at all. Jaejoong smiled, realizing that even though he was really busy, he always had time for their son. He was looking for some plates in one the cabinets, when he found medicine bottles. Some were vitamins and others had namse that he didn’t know anything about. He heard Yunho coming into the kitchen, so he placed the everything back into the cabinet.
He thought that Yunho was healthy now, but he thought wrong. He felt guilty somehow. He ordered Yunho to sit down at the table, and they both ate in silence. Yunho looked at Jaejoong, and for some reason, his eyes looked warm and not evasive at all. Yunho felt content to have him there. It had been such a long time.
They watched some show for awhile, waiting for Siwon to arrive with their son. He observed how Yunho went to the kitchen after their meal and took several pills. Now, he was nodding, trying not to fall asleep, surely the effects of the pills. Jaejoong didn’t resist anymore and placed Yunho on his lap, watching him fall asleep. Yunho opened his eyes, he wanted to say so many things. Maybe he was dreaming?. But Jae just placed a finger on his lips, telling him to go to sleep. Yunho quickly fell asleep, feeling the warmth of Jaejoong’s body around him. It felt so familiar. Jaejoong stroke his long brown hair with his slender fingers. He felt like he needed to protect Yunho. Finally, his masked fell down, shedding a few tear for the man that he loved.
“I love you”. Jae whispered, but sadly Yunho couldn’t hear anything.

Yunho desperately wanted more. He was glad that Jaejoong and Siwon didn’t act as a couple in front of him. He didn’t know if he could handle it. Although, he rarely saw Siwon at the apartment. Junsu also visited his son often. His son had now two uncles, since he called Junsu and Siwon uncles.

Yunho arrived early one day. Little Yunnie had spent the weekend at his place, and now he had to drop him off at Jae’s place. The boy was sleeping in his arms, exhausted from playing with Junsu all weekend.
He stood in front of the door, hearing people yelling at the other side. He could clearly hear Jaejoong and Siwon’s voices. He knocked and immediately Siwon opened the door. Yunho didn’t know what to do, he could feel the tension in the room.
Jaejoong took the little boy from Yunho’s arms and went into his room without saying a word.
Yunho wanted to leave but Siwon invited him to sit down. Siwon paced around the room.
“Look, there is something important that I want to tell you”. Yunho had no idea what was going on.
“The reason why Jaejoong and I were fighting is because you need to know that….”. Jaejoong came rushing out, trying to stop Siwon.
“Shut up, you have no right to tell him”. He exasperatedly yelled.
“This is for the best Jae, you are so stubborn!”. Siwon yelled out of frustration.
“Even if he knows that doesn’t change anything!”.
“Don’t lie to yourself, this also concerns me since the moment you involved me in your lies!”.
Yunho got tired of just listening and not understanding anything.
“What the hell is going on!”. He stood in the middle of the two men. They just glared at each other.
“Yunho, Jaejoong lied to you”. Yunho glanced back at Jaejoong but he just crossed his arms, and sat down on the couch defeated.
Siwon took a deep breath. “We are not together, there has never been anything between us. We are just friends”. Yunho didn’t said anything.
Siwon patted Yunho’s back and left the apartment not before saying sorry to Jaejoong.
Yunho didn’t know what to think. Why did Jaejoong lie?. Does Jaejoong still love him?. Does he still have a chance?. There were so many question going through his head. He sat down besides Jaejoong without looking at him.
“Why did you lie?”. Jaejoong knew that there was no way to escape anymore.
“I didn’t want you to think that the moment you appeared in my life. I would go running to you, like I have been waiting for you”. Although he knew there was some truth in that.
“I would have never thought that. There is so much pain and hurt between us”.
“Also, I did want to hurt you. I knew that you couldn’t stand thinking about me being with another man”.
“You were right, it did hurt. But I have no right to be angry or jealous”.
“I wanted to see you suffer. You were very cruel to me”.
“I know. I still love you”. He grabbed Jaejoong’s hand, entwining their finger tightly.
“Give me a chance to prove you that I deserve you. I want to be with you again. I want us to be a family”. Yunho turned his face, cupping Jae’s face with his other hand. Jaejoong stayed motionless.
“Yunho, don’t ask me that”. Jaejoong felt a turmoil in his heart.
“I don’t care how much time, it takes you. I’ll wait”.
“Maybe, I will never change my mind”.
“I’ll wait, you are worth it”. Yunho tried to kiss Jaejoong but he just turned his face away. Yunho understood and just smiled. He knew that it was going to take a lot of effort for Jaejoong to trust him again. But he was sure that someday he could get his forgiveness. He kissed Jaejoong’s cheek and left the apartment.
It was Yunnie’s fifth birthday party. The apartment was buzzing with people laughing and children running around. Siwon was there, playing with the little boy. Siwon also brought his new boyfriend Shim Changmin. They both enjoyed playing with little Yunnie like they were the same age. This amused Jaejoong to no end. He had never seen this side of Siwon. Junsu was also there with his new boyfriend Park Yoochun.
After the party, everyone felt tired. Little Yunnie felt asleep right on the couch, hugging all his birthday presents. They were drinking coffee in the kitchen’s table, when Junsu announced that he will be moving in with his new boyfriend. They weren’t surprised. Since the moment Junsu met Park Yoochun, they barely saw him anymore. Yunho congratulated both his cousin and his new friend, but deep down he was worried about living alone. Then Siwon announced, that he got a better job in another city so he had to move out very soon too. Jaejoong was dishearten at the news. His son was going to be upset about losing his favorite uncle. He also worried about the rent. With his job, he couldn’t afford to be living by himself.
Fortunately, Junsu came with the perfect solution. He suggested that Yunho should move in with them. Yunho though that it was the best idea, Jaejoong on the other hand wasn’t too sure about it. They way that Junsu and Siwon were snickering with each other, it was very suspicious that they both had to move about the same time. At the end, he was outnumber. In the next few days, Yunho moved in with them, after six years he was finally living with Jaejoong again.
Under Jaejoong’s constant care, Yunho had made a lot of progress. He now looked like the Jung Yunho of six years ago. Their everyday life was filled with work and of course taking care of their son. Somehow, they were friends now. They were closer with each other. They would sometimes reminiscent when they first met back in high school.
Little Yunnie loved to awake their parents early in the morning. They never needed to set up any alarm. The little boy liked to cuddle to his appa more than anything in the world. From the moment he woke up, he clang to him. Yunho couldn’t be happier. Jaejoong always complained that even his own flesh and blood had betrayed him.
They were always running around in the apartment until Jaejoong told them to settle down. Little Yunnie always asked his appa for piggyback rides. Under the care of both parent, little Yunnie didn’t have nightmares anymore. He even spoke more. At the beginning Jaejoong had problem letting go some of the control that he had over his son, now having to share everything with Yunho. It was difficult at first, especially when Yunho spoiled him to no end. Yunho sometimes stayed at the little boy’s room just admiring his son. He discovered something knew every time. He had his eyes, although they were a bit bigger than his, so he had some similarities with Jaejoong. He spent hours and hours, trying to compensate all the time that he had lost. Jaejoong had to practically drag him out of the room.
After living together for almost three years. Yunho finally had the guts to ask Jaejoong out.
It was Jaejoong’s birthday and Yunho asked Jaejoong out on a date. At first he refused, but like always, Siwon and Junsu convinced him that he needed to take a break. Besides, they would take care of little Yunnie. They went to a nice restaurant, one that Yunho could afford. They felt comfortable with each other now, talking about work, his child and many other things. But Yunho knew that Jaejoong never like to talk about what he did years ago. After, they finished eating. Yunho had a surprise for him. He brought Jaejoong to a park, where they look a the stars and the city nightlights. He knew that Jaejoong loved to watch the city at night.

They were looking at the stars, sitting on the grass. The date was perfect. Jaejoong couldn’t remember the last time that he had so much fun. They laid side by side. They have talked so much that they didn’t know what to talk about now. Yunho knew that this was the moment. Maybe Jaejoong would say no, but he had to try. He got closer to Jaejoong, and without any restrains he kissed him on the lips.
Jaejoong wanted to protest but the familiarity of the kiss won him over. Yunho laid completely on his body, supported only by his arms. The kiss was strong, wet and bruising. Neither one of them wanted it to end. Jaejoong could feel the love that he still have for the man. Yunho could feel Jaejoong’s body, his essence. He had missed him so much. He was surprise that he didn’t pull away. But Jaejoong came to his senses and pushed Yunho away. They both sat up, facing each other.
Jaejoong touched his bruised lips. He tried to suppress the rush of emotion but his eyes full of tears betrayed him.
“Why did you have to do that!”. He wanted to hit Yunho on the face.
“I know that you still feel something for me”. They have been living for quite a long time, but Jaejoong still refuse to talk about the day that he left. He always avoided the conversation. He knew if Jaejoong was to forgive him, he needed to know what Jaejoong was feeling.
“The day, I left was the worst day of my life. I sacrificed you for my family. I’ll always regret that”.
“Stop it, I don’t want to talk about that”. Jaejoong tried to leave. Yunho grabbed his hands, softly he told him to stay.
“I don’t deserve you and or the son that you gave me. I know you will never forget all the things that I’ve done but at least I can make it better”. He raised his hands, and wiped away the tears that were falling from his face.
Jaejoong finally let all the pain come out. He started to cry even harder. Yunho held him in his arms trying to calm him. Jaejoong pushed him away once again. He stared at his face, still sobbing and breathing hard. He grabbed his shirt and started to shake Yunho violently. His face was consumed with anger.
“Bastard, you left me!. You left me without thinking about my feelings. You betrayed me”. He screamed loudly, he slapped Yunho several times.
“You have no idea how much humiliation I have suffered because of you. You left me when I needed you the most. And even after everything that you did, I still love you. I couldn’t forget you even for one day”. They hugged each other. Yunho cradling Jaejoong in his arms, repeating how sorry he was. They both cried, trying to heal all the wounds that kept them away. They stayed like that for a while. Rocking back and forth. Jaejoong spoke first.
“I hate you”.
“I know”.
“I love you”.
“I love you too”.
“I cry and laugh when I remember you. I hurt when I think about you. I fell in love with you, you lies I really believed”.
“I will never lie to you again. I’ll stay with you forever. I won’t ask you to trust me but give me a chance.”
“I said that I’ll never give you another chance. I don’t trust you”.
“Don’t trust me, but give me a chance”.
Yunho pulled Jaejoong’s face up and kissed him. The kiss was passionate but soft. They could taste the tears in each other’s mouths. They didn’t need to say anything anymore.
I guess now it's time, that you came back for good
Once, they were together, they enjoyed each day to the fullest .Yunho and Jaejoong loved each other a lot, but their relationship wasn’t easy. They still had many issues. They were trying to build up everything that they have lost. They worked hard, trying to create a family full of love and not of lies.
The morning breeze awoke Yunho from his deep sleep. They both laid in bed, lost into each other’s embrace. Like always, Yunho felt Jaejoong strong hold on his body, something that he had missed for so long. He smelled his silky black hair and caressed his smooth face. Sometimes, he awoke in a panic, thinking that everyhting was a dream. But every day, his lover was by his side. He wanted to cry, but no…. there wasn’t any room for tears anymore. Instead he chose to smile. He heard little footstep entering his room. Out of nowhere, little Yunnie threw himself bewteen his parents. Yunho thickled his son without mercy, his laugh filled the room with joy. Jaejoong grogily awoke, slowly opening one eye. He reached out and hid his son under the covers. Yunho complained, telling him that it was favoritism. He could still hear his son gigling under the covers. He took the opportunity to kiss his lover on the lips. Jaejoong welcomed the kiss, afterall it was from the man that he loved.
