I've been really impressed with the "HDR" option on my iPhone camera. I didn't think it did anything but I uploaded a whole bunch of pics I took with it on recently and all the lighting and colors were so much better than just a regular pic.

Here's the other window - it's pretty cute! http://www.flickr.com/photos/78831580@N00/5493295073/

I liked them, but even the "cheap" dress I bought was ridiculously expensive once I got out of there. The fittings and veil doubled the price. There are definitely other options out there and you have a year to figure it all out.

I liked Lovely on the West Village. No one really had the type of dress I wanted (short... funny looking...), so Kleinfeld's was the only place that had multiple things for me to try on.

Good lord, I didn't even think of fittings and the veil. I figured my veil is gonna be an Etsy find. heh. I haven't heard of Lovely, I will investigate. :D

Now that I've found a designer that I'm totally in love with from Kleinfelds I've been haunting eBay and the like trying to see what else he has. He's a British designer though, so all the good dresses are on ebay.co.uk. heh.

I tried on the Flowerbomb dress: http://www.ianstuart-bride.com/docs/3.RR_thmb_1.html

Sooooooo much prettier than the pic here, but it's $5700. o_O

I guess their prices for that sort of stuff are not as insane if your dress is 10k, but for my "modestly priced" one, it was noticeable.

My sister bought a dress at one of their trunk sales and that was reasonable, but she was just looking for something that wasn't, you know, this:

In fact, if you scroll through down to their reception photos, you can see that dress -- she's wearing it for those cake cutting photos. She bought it cheap, but then she went somewhere to get it altered and that was like $600+, so be forewarned...
