I looked into web design classes (which is what I've decided to focus on. i'm going to spend half my time learning web stuff and the other half working on art stuff), but I'm still on the fence about whether I should actually take a class or not. My mom is voting for the class which would help get me out of the house and maybe meet some people. As I was looking at classes, some jewelry making classes and woodworking classes caught my eye. In a way I'd rather spend the $$ on something a little more hands on vs. something like web design that I can learn on my own through tutorials and such.
When I asked my brother James his opinion a couple weeks ago, at first he said, yes, I should take the class, but then almost immediately he said, "wait, no. well, I just don't want you to spend the $$ for a class that might not even be good when I can help teach you." And then he offered to help me out when I'm stuck as I'm learning on my own.
So I'm not really sure what I want to do. I found a web class at the community college that starts in about a month. It only meets 5 times, once a week, so it would be over pretty quickly, and then I could take the next advanced level in the Fall if I find that it is actually good.
I'm still very much on the fence though. I'll have to sleep on it.
Maybe because I was feeling antsy, I did a little shadow drawing tonight.
I think it looks like a heart that's flayed open so I named this drawing, "Heart Map".
If anyone can guess what this shadow drawing is actually based on they get a gold star. Which I will draw and send to you.
