Part I

I'm at home with just the dogs. When home alone, I turn into one of two people: Couch Potato Anika (watches re-runs of Sex and the City or other Chick Flicks until the wee small hours of the morning then sleeps in til the day's half over) or Cleaning Machine Anika. Tonight I've been Cleaning Machine Anika.

I first cleaned the kitchen. All ( Read more... )

I really enjoy these ramblings of yours. :)

This summer, I'm taking an extended vacation from work, to go back home to Seattle ...where the plan is to spend at least a week, finally sorting through/getting rid of all the boxes and boxes of crap they've been keeping for me for the past 5 years. Ha!

This is an exciting time for you. I'm totally enjealvymous!

Haha, somehow I wouldn't be surprised if in 5 years I'll be doing the same thing!

I'm glad you're enjoying my musings. Makes me feel a little better about rambling on about random mundane things!

seems like no one dresses up anymore

At the end of the semester my little sister and her friends had a "thrift store formal" where they dressed up in formal clothes they already had or found at a thrift store and went out to dinner. I think that's a cute idea.

It could be a lot of fun to dress up with whatever we can find in our closets and go out for the heck of it.

I think that sounds like fun. I'd definitely be up for that!

Yeah, I am in for a "dress up" night. I have a dress now. :)

Also, an interesting idea that a classmate of mine did was have a Clothes Swap where she invited friends to bring their unwanted clothes. Everyone brought stuff that was nice but they didn't wear anymore, and anything left over after people tried stuff on was donated to charity. It was fun!!

Oh yeah, and I guess I should think about eventually getting the stuff I left at my mother's place 4 years ago. Sigh.
