My dad died tonight.

I was holding his hand when he stopped breathing.

on a side note: I was asked to help pay for the funeral three times this evening by my step mom and her daughter. two of those times were while he was still alive.

I know I can't say anything that anyone else already hasn't, but I'm keeping you in my thoughts as well. It's hard for me to grasp how difficult something like this is since I haven't suffered a deeply personal loss, yet and I can only imagine. Hang in there. I hope you get through this all in one piece.
