LOL thanks!!! :) I really need to have a place to write about all this, and facebook is so...well, public. I have employees and people that really don't need to know about the day to day weight loss issues, or the deep darker recesses of my mind! hahaha
We're doing something similar here - I'm trying to stick close to the "phase one" idea, the other half is blundering off into carbo land again and wondering why he's not losing weight. (Um...duh?)
Low carb works. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :)
:) Me too. I am sticking PRETTY close to phase 1, but slowly starting to introduce some of the phase 2, like nuts, into my diet.
I get super snacky at work, and while I like the Atkins bars for a quick fix, in the long run, I really want to eliminate almost all processed foods and stick with natural stuff. I FEEL so much better!
Mine does the SAME thing!! **facepalm** He will do really well, then eat a big plate of pasta, and wonder why I am losing faster and getting leaner. Uhm. B/c I cut ALL of that stuff out of my diet completely. I don't touch it, and honestly, I don't know that I ever will!
Any low carb nay sayers can pretty well kiss it. I eat WAY better on Atkins than I have ever eaten in my entire life. The people who knock it, are the people who don't understand it, or think "Oh, you eat a slab of bacon...".
I get super snacky at work too. I lost 30lbs on WW (now around 25lbs) due to recent snacking and stress of work. :-( I don't plan well enough to have healthy snacks there and when I do I still eat my neighbor's candy!
Well, we actually DO eat a slab of bacon, lol... though, it is LOW carb bacon (and believe me, we had to DIG to find that!) OTOH, my cholesterol - though on initial look is high - is full of fat fluffy molecules that the doc sez don't stick. So bring on the butter and bacon grease, man, it's cookout time! heh :)
