People at karoake have been buggin me to do more recent and more rock-ey songs. Right now my only rock-ey song is "Gives you Hell" by All American Rejects. Sometimes I do "Picture" Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow if I some guy bugs me enough(even though everyone tells me I do it well).
I USUALLY do "Insensitive" by Jann Arden, anything Patsy Cline, "I Can't Make you Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt but I'm tired of doing the same old shite.
I need some ideas of rock-ey or more modern songs to do. Help?

I would say anything by Pink - sounds in your range :) Misery is very bluesy...and I just ignore the parts that Steven Tyler does and kind of make it my own.

Black Horse I think too...also, any Melissa Ethridge.

Also, branch out into some male songs. I get a real kick out of singing stuff that people would never expect a girl to sing...motley crue, skid row, that kind of stuff...people go apeshit! :)

Hmmm, The Ride by Collective Soul (I think - I always forget if that's who does that song)

Katy Perry can be fun too, and if u sing, I kissed a girl, expect lots of attention.
