Ok, I have one question -- why do people post links to their own f-locked entries on communities?

Is it some kind of "I'm going to let you know I've done this and now you can just wish you were cool enough for me to friend you"? Or "let me know you want to read it and I can add you to my f-list, thereby making me feel more important"?

You should totally post a comment to that post in whatever comm: "Hey, I wanted to read but your post is locked. That's kind of rude."

DOOOOOO IIIIIIT.

Because if you can convince lots of people to friend you, everyone will think you're more popular (than you actually are), and then you'll be one of the cool kids. If you can't get enough people to friend you, you'll just be one of those LJ losers who think it's stupid to friend people just to read one entry that's probably not that interesting anyway.

I just back away from the entry and ignore their posts in future.

Jerks!
