Oh man, somebody wrote Will/Alicia! I'd be delighted by this fact alone, but this story is AWESOME--I love how you've painted all the characters here, and this line seemed really in-character for what we've seen of Will:

Rather than trying to hide it, he used it, returning his fork slowly to the plastic box before turning his whole body toward his partner, openly displaying his anger.

Just fantastic.

This is fantastic. What a love about it is how in character every one is here, from Diane and Will to Alicia and Carey. You nailed it. I particulary loved how the Will/Diane exchange was so lawyerly too, particulary the bit where Diane "sustains" his objection and "withdraws" the question.

Awesome stuff. This fandom needs moar fic!
