If you were going to be in NY this Saturday, what would you take your 18-yr-old and 15-yr-old to see?

ETA: Stop voting for West Side Story! It's sold out. :(

If you really want to see West Side Story, even though on Thursday when we lost lotto they said they were sold out through the weekend, they did have partial view when I went on Saturday at 10 for the Sat matinee, and it was absolutely fine. It was in the balcony, and there was part of the balcony that curved out so you couldn't see the very edge of the stage, but it didn't interfere with any action. Granted, they're varying degrees of partial view, so I could have had one of the better ones. Just a thought though, if you really, really, really want to see it! They also sell standing room when they sell out, and there's a lottery two hours before the performance for the front row seats. Though you would need 3 tickets so that's probably not going to work. I wasn't really too crazy about the Tony, but it's overall an amazing production ( ... )

Oh I should have read the poll first, I forgot In the Heights! LOVE that show! Just make sure the theatre is actually open when you want to go...because even if everywhere online it says it has a show, it might not. :-P

South Pacific is sold out, I think because I was trying to get my sister tickets for her birthday. Definitely go to the TKTS booth in times square. Its the best option for tickets, but you have to get there early

I would say Hair is the hot ticket at the moment - and you should still be able to get a seat. If do come, then let me know - I should be ushering at the matinee on Saturday and would love to say hello!

Man, that sounds great, but the tickets were more expensive than South Pacific, for much worse seats, and a matinee, so I went with South Pacific.

I have a feeling I'm going to regret that I didn't see Hair. Next time!

No I bet you won't - South Pacific is WONDERFUL! Hope you enjoyed it, and your trip to NYC.
