foolish_m0rtal and I yakked a bit more about Terminator/TSCC/PoI crossover ideas, and it's like INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.

I AM NOT WRITING THIS. But I have to talk about it otherwise I'm going to go bonkers.

I'm going to cut this because this will have spoilers for the Terminator movies, TSCC, and PoI.

Maybe John Reese is an uncle?

Reese could also try to convince Finch not to create the machine, in the scenario where he's sent back to kill him. Though I do like the idea that, since Finch's name isn't known they kill Nathan, who's name ~is known. And then Reese is stuck here and ends up living on the street. And somehow Finch finds him. And they start their fucked up friendship?

And like, for this, Reese stays because he feels guilty about offing Ingram and injuring Finch, and he figures maybe he can change the future in a less drastic way, ie: convince Finch to change the Machine's programming so it doesn't become Skynet or something, because he can't bear the thought of killing Finch. a;dfjaslkfdjsalkfjdla;jla ;fdjlakfd

OMG OMG OMG There are so many things. SO MANY. I mean, we're not even talking about future!Finch and future!Reese with no time travel involved, just two dudes killing for the resistance.

Chaos of dystopian plot bunnies:
-The story is exactly like the show, but Finch uses the machine to figure out who is going to die-by-Terminator, and Reese has to stop it.
-Go with the human hybrid theory of Terminator Salvation, and John Reese is a fleshy combination of John Connor and Kyle Reese.
- Reese doesn't know that he's a reprogrammed Terminator that Finch fixed up to help him save the entire fucking world. (spoilers: my current story might be about this)

DUDE, WHAT IF John Reese adopted Kyle? What if Kyle Reese named John Connor after John Reese? WHAT IF?!

Also, if the baby's name in Baby Blue is Sarah, I am going to fucking explode.

LOL, it will literally be robots in love (which is a description I come across frequently in people's posts about PoI. It's lol and accurate). But omggggggggggggggggggggg YOU HAVE TO WRITE THIS. The only official person on record as being responsible for the Machine is Nathan Ingram, and that's who Reese is sent back to eliminate. I can see this being a closed time loop situation, like the first Terminator movie. Ingram dies in canon and Finch is severely injured. How fucked up would it be if future!Reese were the one responsible.
