Kahlan... *attacks*. There's no other word for it. She launches herself at Zedd and plants a big kiss to his lips. Richard's jaw drops. Zedd drops the greasy chicken leg from his hand.

"Kahlan!" Richard's voice is pitched a little high.

"I just can't help it anymore, Richard." Kahlan stares at Zedd with ferocious hunger. "That appetite! Can you imagine how long he can--"

"I don't want to know!" Richard directs a helpless look at Zedd. "She's under a spell, right?"

Zedd's bewilderment passes quickly, then he's furrowing his brow in concentration. "There's powerful magic at work, boy!"
