this post, which is still open btw! I'm kinda amused that all the people who answered are overseas folks. Time difference FTW.

Top five ZQ/CP moments from the ST press tour.
1. MORIBUND
2. MORIBUND
3. MORIBUND
4. MORIBUND
5. MORIBUND
Okay okay, seriously. Though it's hard to pick my top four after MORIBUND
1. MORIBUND
2. Zach's "I love you" (also the pedicure thing, which is from the same interview)
3. Their rivalry is rooted in the mastery of the English language
4. Zach performing the mind meld on Chris
5. Anytime they spork it out
This is rather like picking a favorite kitten out of a litter or something. Because there's also like: sacrosanct, hoarse/horse, theme song singing, Chris' face makes Zach laugh, you can call it a bromance if you want to, the little hug, interplanetary federal republic!, Klingons are cousins of Vulcans, long walks on the beach. JUST ENDLESS SQUEE OKAY.
Top five movie AUs you want to cast ZQ/CP in.
NOT COOL, V. NOT COOL. Because I will totally end up wanting to write all of these. >.<
1. Point Break.
Like, Zach is this criminal mastermind, with his posse of GQ thieves (Karl! Simon! Zoe!), and Chris is the cop who goes undercover to take him down. They form this awesome friendship, which turn into sexytiems. But Chris is totally conflicted, torn between duty and desire. Yes, this is also Fast & Furious, but Point Break is the originator.
2. The Thomas Crown Affair.
Chris is a GQMF gentleman thief, and Zach is the insurance investigator tailing, and eventually tapping, his ass. DO YOU DETECT A TREND FORMING?
3. Push
CPine is Chris Evans, and Zach is... Dakota Fanning. LOL, sorry Zach. Maybe not exactly like that, but something along those lines. They've got powers, and they're being pursued by Division.
4. Deja Vu
Chris travels back in time to save Zach! Huh, I seem to keep casting Zach as the girl (which is amusing, and interesting, because Zach also tends to be the top in my head). It's okay, this concept works the other way around, too. I'm not picky. Zach travels back in time to save Chris!
5. Red Dragon
Okay, I'm cheating. Because I'm already writing this, sort of. Not really. FBI!Chris/SerialKiller!Zach is definitely informed by Red Dragon, but there isn't really too many actual elements of the movie. I was rewatching the movie the other day, and god, Ed Norton's eyes are RIDICULOUSLY blue in it. Brett Ratner really knows how to shoot that man. Imagining CPine in his place? With HIS own pair of ridiculous blue eyes? Yeah. Yeah.
Top five favorite fannish moments.
aurora_84 says fandom events that made me squee. I'm kinda having a hard time thinking of any. So, I don't know. I'll just list random stuff.
1. Any time I recognize Vancouver in a movie or TV show.
2. Re-enacting the Blair Sandburg fountain scene from The Sentinel, at the very actual fountain. Those of you who know the show know which scene I'm talking about. That was filmed at UBC. I used to walk past that fountain, like, every day, which is all kinds of lol and :/ I think
strandia used to have a picture of me all sprawled out on the grass. I wish I'd gotten a copy.
3. Wrestling is pretty much a category unto itself, considering how much I've experienced. I'm still really sad about how it all went downhill later on, considering how spectacular it used to be. I can't list just one thing, because, yeah, it's been about 10 years of my life, basically. I can't do a list like this without mentioning wrestling though, so here is it. WRESTLING.
4. The first time I attended BasCon, which was in 2002, I believe. It was the meet-and-greet dinner thing, I think. And this girl came up to me and asked me if I was the same Twig who was in Mag7 fandom, and when I confirmed my identity, she told me that she really enjoyed my M7 fics. It was one of the most flattering moments of my life. I was out of Mag7 fandom for over two years by that point. I was never anybody big. So to be remembered? That's kinda always been the thorn of fandom. The realization that you'd be forgotten very quickly. So that was really awesome. Ironically, and terribly, I don't remember her name. :///////// I'd written down her contact info, but I lost the notebook. :(
5. ... oh my god, holy shit. I can't believe I actually found info on this. The
Star Trek: Federation Science exhibit. It was at Science World. I BEGGED my mom to take me. BEGGED. I think she dropped me off and came back six hours later to pick me up or something. It was the most fucking AWESOME thing ever. Holy shit, 1994. I was 12. I remember, SO clearly, that there was a trivia contest show thing. I was in the audience. They asked for contestants. They asked, "who's your favorite character?" And I screamed, "DAX" while everybody else yelled Data or Worf. And that was what made me stand out. Data has always been my favorite character, hands down, but DS9 had just started its run, and I was so in love with Jadzia like whoa. So I was a trivia contestant! And I won! I had to do an impersonation of Data at one point, and I was damn good if you ask me. :D
Top five songs you associate with fandom or a canon source.
1. Ever The Same, by Matchbox 20. AJ/Daniels. Wrestling. This one is rather inexplicable. I don't really know how it happened.
2. Sabotage, by the Beastie Boys. ST Reboot. This song is now forever associated with the car chase scene of awesome.
3. Somewhere I Belong, by Linkin Park. Enterprise. It was a vid that did it. Every time I hear the opening, I see the beginning of the vid.
4. Karaoke Soul, by Tom McRae. John/Aeryn. Farscape. Again, vid.
5. Down Boy, by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Charlie Crews. Life. "I will stand for the sake of my friends." The epic S1 finale.
Bonus: five songs from my Pinto playlist, which is also part of the soundtrack for "just tell 'em we're survivors."
1. Life Is a Highway, by Tom Cochrane. "I'll be there when the light comes in / Just tell 'em we're survivors."
2. Umbrella, by Rihanna. "When the sun shines, we'll shine together."
3. Make Believe, by Thornley. "It's not a film or a fantasy and we're not just make believe."
4. Sweet Ones, by Sarah Slean. "They're countin' on a guilty conscience to save you / But I'm bankin' on the deep blue eyes and the face too."
5. Lullaby, by the Dixie Chicks. "They didn't have you where I come from / Never knew the best was yet to come."
Yes, it's really really sappy playlist.
Top five tropes you wish were more common in Pinto fic.
1. They've been dating and they didn't even know it.
There's been a good bunch of fics with this already, but I seriously cannot get enough. I love dumb boys in love.
2. WEARING EACH OTHER'S CLOTHES
Bulletproof kink, my friends. Bulletproof.
3. Outed!
Again, there's been a really good bunch of fics written, but I can't get enough. I have a
discovery kink. Outing fics for Pinto dance quite delicately on the edge of hitting my narrative button and embarrassment squick.
4. AUs
If AUs can be considered a trope. Though, I'm not sure I'm actively wishing for this, because I know, inevitably, the fandom will descend into rampant AU-land, because that's just the progression of a fandom with inconsistent new material. Pinto is still just a baby. We're gonna be hitting that long lull next year. So. Yeah.
5. Animals playing matchmaker
SHUT UP IT'S CUTE OKAY? Also, Noah seems to dominate the fics. Where's the love for Harold? But yeah, we need more stuff like Noah runs away to Chris' house, forcing Zach to go over there and hang out. Or Harold falls asleep on Chris, and Chris is like, "aw hell, I guess I'm just gonna have to spend the night here at Zach's place. I wouldn't wanna wake up the cat." C'MON PEOPLE MAKE IT SO.
