i know exactly what you mean about losing a childhood house... since I just one day ago moved out of the only one i ever knew. but it's not like throwing out 17 years so much as leaving a place behind where some of that 17 years took place... and in a way, i felt like it was closure for my childhood, closure that i needed in many ways. MEANWHILE.... i believe the phrase is "cold as a witch's..." ... well... you know ^_^
Nina darling, don't give up so soon! Just think about how lovely our future home will be! You, Jo, Michele and myself in our fabulous NYC apartment; we'll build a shrine to happiness (zombies and superheroes), and I'll cook you tuna and zucchini, and we'll have really great lighting! That matters...and no temperatures akin to penguins' asses. Though maybe a penguin. He will live in our fridge, and I will call him pen pen. How about the "melancholy but hopeful for what the future holds pirate"? Too long?
