The US does not even try to keep official records on the harm done to the Iraqi people. Not deaths, and certainly not injury. Ruined property? Fuhgeddaboudit...
The harm done to the Iraq is almost impossible to calculate. It did NOT have to be this bad, dammit! The arrogant pricks in the Pentagon thought they could oust Hussein, leave the bureacracy in place and conduct business as usual - replace Saddam of recent years with someone like him from earlier when he was "our" man in Bhagdad.
There was no reason to attack Iraq. There was more than enough work to do in Afghanistan. Now the entire region is a basket case waiting to explode.
