Snowy Sunday

It's snowing, we are supposed to get about 5 inches or so today, and tonight it will drop to 5-10 below zero.  I'm going to make Chicken Tikka Masala for dinner with curried vegetables and rice, and I think  just might be able to talk Steve into making Date Bars while I make Russian Tea Cookies.

Or I'll just make the tea cookies and not share.

heh. i knew some dumb-ass who thinks al gore made up global warming, because 'why isn't it hotter all year then?' oh so simple-minded. -_- yeah, it should be totally hot when we're facing AWAY FROM THE SUN. because seasons have stopped and all.

Sometimes I feel bad when I complain about the weather here. Usually in the winter. It was quite cold today, and might almost reach the mid thirties tonight. I am definitely climate-spoiled.

When I went back to CA after living in CO, I wore a light sweater over a short dress in December when I went out to dinner with my family. It was about 50 degrees...and they all had on parkas, and thought I was completely nuts for not needing a coat. lol.

Ha! Yeah, I've noticed since I started working in SF proper that I'll be wandering around in short sleeves (slightly chilled, but pleasantly) and passing people in enormous coats and scarves. There's nothing like spending a few years in places where it snows to make one scoff weather.

I wonder if a few years in India would cure me of my hatred of hot weather. I also wonder if it would be worth it. Pro: excellent curries! Cons: India and heat and language barrier and living conditions.

Last time we went shopping I bought ingredients to make chicken tikka masala! It is so goodly. Specially with naan. Mmmmmm...
