Sooth

A friend from college. Riding ahead of me. Plays the part of being my guide through uncharted territory. He leads me home, or that's his intention anyway. We're touching 120, and the needle keeps steady. Half an hour or so of the quiet hum of the wheels.

Scary as it is.. it reminds me of the time I gave up driving due to an accident.

Those moments though play out in slow motion, often looking so well choreographed, you step back to marvel at the sight of it.. before reality hits.

I stopped driving for two years after I had my first accident. I'm over it now. And unless my legs and arms are amputated or I'm mentally disabled, I don't think I'll stop again.

Reality has'nt hit me yet I think.. But something's boiling big time. I don't know how to explain it, but this is certainly not a happy moment in my life. Not even close!

That is (or rather was) a scary moment.

Incidentally I near-missed death two days ago and was going to post about it, and seeing yours makes me feel shudder all over again. (Haven't we posted about accidents almost around the same time last time?)

Hopefully your friend will recover soon.

Something frightened me more than watching my friend's bike flipping across the road and struggling as the rear wheel of the truck twisted the front tyre into a right angle.

It was for a good few seconds as my car was skidding sideways, that I feared I might run over my friend..

Yes it's uncanny how close together we are when we're around accidents.

Yes, his muscles have to knit themselves back together, and he can't move his ankle or put weight on his left foot without cursing the stars. But aside from that, he'll be fine. He'll need to go to a physio for a good long time before he'll regain the function of his leg though. Till then, it's a wheelchair for locomotion.

OMG! that must be a scary sight. I am shuddering just reading it. Glad that he did not hit his head or any other major organ.

Oh! Wheelchair! That's gonna be tough. Wishing him healthy and fast healing!
