geez!whatta day...night rather.
the moement my guests started to walk in, we got news of the blasts...nothing like acts of terror to kickstart a partee!!

btw, where is the golden dragon? i love chinese food and there are precious little ones near the workplace or home. that wang's kitchen should be visited in case a death wish is imminent.

Ah, The Golden Dragon is in CTC (That's Chenoy Trade Center, where all the cool and happening Computer joints are at!). However, I've never been there before, so I really have no clue as to how good (or bad) the place really is.. :)

The original Wangs Kitchen was actually pretty good. Dunno who kind of a dump they've made the one at Cyberabad into. :(

lol! CTC is located near Paradise.

In fact, if you're coming from SP road and hit the paradise junction, turn left. Then take the first right turn. You'll hit CTC on your right hand side. If you ignore CTC and continue going down that lane, you'll find that the road connects with the paradise main road midway. :)

You knew THAT! :)

What struck me as surprising was the efficiency with which the other bomb at Dilsukhnagar was diffused. I mean what possibly could've tipped off the police _after_ an explosion in Lumbini about a bomb in DNagar?

Maybe it's a wrong attitude, or maybe it's right, but somehow I think we have a very incompetent government and police. If terrorism is real, then isn't it time to step up the security? The Muslims in the city are as much at risk of these events as the hindus. I'm not advocating a Bush-like war strategy but why can't we just do more to defend our own ground? I mean what else has the police and government got to do anyway? The system just sucks.

Agree. Every time such incident happens, it makes me believe more that the complete administration is coward. All they do is "condemn" the act and wait for another one to happen.

I know what you mean.... Sadly, India probably has one of the most advanced politico in terms of corruption. Going back and fixing things is not a viable option. We could kill them all and then start afresh, but that's not easy (considering the HUGE number of people who know people and all that jazz!).

The best way to defend India is to leave the country. In a few years time, India will have no choice butto evolve into someplace worth living....

Yes, it has.... I've been doing a lot of reading and other online stuff (not related to blogging) on my websites.

Been busy, and I've finaly *finally!!* started looking for a job. Heh! :)

P.S.: Yes, I once was a technical writer. But now, I write merely for the passion of the word (And believe you me, the word's not technical in nature per se). I'm a writer. Technical writing was just another way to get by with a skill I was quite comfortable playing with at the time. :) On a hoot, I could be a full time tech writer, but that's not exactly what I wanna do for the rest of my life. :o)
