There should have been an entry here labelled “Seattle Highlights”. It was a bulleted list, I grant you, but it hyperlinked to several comic books/authors and mentioned coffee and poster presentations and mulchatna. I had it saved in a file on my desktop until I “posted” it, at which point I put it in the trash. Which now auto-empties thanks to my ( Read more... )

Is that the unshelved Will Work For Books T-shirt?

I want to get one of their Library Raid jackets and the iRead shirt, I just love them. Never got around to ordering, somehow. I think the postage threw me off so far.

I keep meaning to read Perdito Street Station. What did you think of it?

I think it's a sin that I hadn't read it until now. It's right up my subgenre (urban fantasy) (though it does the world-building crossover genrising that frustrates my shelving). I can't articulate exactly how, but the shape of the plot was different from what I expected. Maybe more traditionally shaped adventure fiction or higher fantasy. Of plot, you understand, not of characters, settings, or side-characters.
