Which Wimsey is it? I assume timetable means it's one of those where the only clues are who was where at what time?

Yes: The Five Red Herrings. And, I do it a disservice by saying "terrible", but I'd just read a much pifflier book (Whose Body), plus I'm not a fan of trying to memorise timetables whilst reading a story.
