Oh, I'm so sorry. I think I've mentioned before that my sister has had many rats; they're clearly wonderful, intelligent little people and their lives are too, too short.

I'm sure she thought the world of you, and had a fine happy life.

Poor rat. I'd think having pets that don't live very long would be a tough thing to handle.
