I will not buy this manga; IT is scratched.

Our class uses doubled vowels in our Romanji to indicate long vowels. In the case of "ee", I find this confusing ("oo" less so, because the "w" option is halfway in between). It's ugly, and I want to go on record as preferring macrons.

Excuse me while I go practice how to write vowels now.

P.S. My hovercraft is full of eels.

That Monte Python skit inspired me to do some street theater once. The World Trade Organization was in Seattle over the summer, as the world saw from the protesting and riots. One of my quirks is I collect soviet-era memorabilia. I had this little red star with sickle and hammer hat pin that I stuck into one of a rabbit fur hat that my mother got me for chirstmas one year. I put on an anorak and wandered around downtown Olympia saying things like "Please take me to your 'Hilary Clinton'; I wish to tell her she has a beautiful body, and that should she hold it aganist me." in a cheesy Russian accent.

Does that mean you'd write the name of the city as Tookyoo? Weird...
